Funny how Luigi gets a terrorism charge for one guy, but this guy gets... a not-terrorism charge? interesting, interesting...

any time someone says "this is not who we are" I just point to... all of human history, tbh

It might have been the demons that drove the swine to their deaths, though, basically just committing suicide because they didn't wanna be stuck in some lame pig body. Hard to say.

Always thought the dichotomy was goofy and didn't make sense. Same with Calvinism vs. Arminianism. Nobody likes nuance, apparently.

It's always an old man, these dudes driving their cyberfucks need to smoke a bowl and chill out

Funny how in the Bible, Jesus never dealt with any demons by killing them.

The ones that have second thoughts about their life and quit or lay down their arms are potential allies. Never know who those people will be.

Also surprised that they didn't say it was "a few hundred" or something equally disingenuous. This is a new high for them, though I won't keep holding my breath...

I immediately thought of this Torres and agreed that it seemed like something he would say

My friend who lives in France is very proud of everybody right now, as are the many old veterans I met at our protest today in SC. This is the solidarity we need to keep up

Lmao that pink shirt is fire, great energy, love it

Oh my goddddd you're so right and I feel stupid that I never even thought about that. also fuck these guys

I love the sign about the Draft Dodger at the end there, that's a great one.

I think people are waking up, having *double* the 3.5% of a population of folks turn up in a protest is actually still a significant amount. I like to stay positive and assume a lot of people are working today and weren't able to make it, or just didn't know, or are still working behind the scenes.

Love that it ended up being at least 5K+ at one point, most people I've ever seen rallied for anything in Greenville outside of Artisphere and Fall for Greenville

Yeehaw, let's go my brethren in Georgia!!
comment in response to post
Love that! 6K out of 100K is twice as much as the 3.5% of patriots needed to get out and make a positive change! Hoping to keep that energy going!

Haha, that Stephen Miller one gets me good. It's so good seeing all the funny and creative signs people come up with.

That'd be so cool

So true. We just had the sheriff retire and he got replaced with another sheriff, and then a week later that sheriff stepped down for some reason and now we have a third sheriff, so right now it's a gamble, who knows what will happen lol

Real. In Albuquerque, they'll get the SWAT and the horses out rapido, contrasted with the town I live on the east coast where the police genuinely don't care unless you're actively throwing molotovs in the street or some other stupid shit. Otherwise they don't care, they don't even show up.

Can't overstate the part about "learn local knowledge about your area" enough. Police do in fact act vastly different depending on the town or city you live in. For both better and worse.

I'd like that, but we tried it the first time and they just went underground. I think we should do what George Washington did to loyalists after the Revolutionary War and exile them alongside confiscation of their property to redistribute and sell it. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Real, best case scenario is that I wake up tomorrow and everyone who was being unreasonable decides to love their neighbor and be good to each other, and everyone being cruel has a moment of sincere repentance and horror at the world they helped create. That's my best-case scenario. lol

I'm Jewish and I just gotta say: everyone's got problems, maybe Jesus was actually right on this one and our people still did have more lessons to learn from God.

I don't see how the nuclear threat will be gone when bombing these places still throws tons of radioactive dust up into the air, which blows around, but whatever I guess

And the version with no text . . .

AHA, you are on this website! I am so glad to see you escaped the other place. Very glad to see you again. It's a feeling akin to finding all my friends and family are alive and well back at home. after we were all on the Titanic sinking or something.

What's funny to me is how a decade after college, nowadays I would love to be told to "write a paper" on something. There are so many things I would love to write about, knowing somebody is actually going to read it in a world dominated by The Attention Economy. I was so ungrateful as a student.

Agitators lighting a car on fire at a protest is basically the liberal/rightwing media equivalent of jingling car keys in front of a baby to get them to stop crying about class solidarity.

It was a pleasure and I'm looking forward to getting started on the next one! I'm glad you like it!😁

No no, it's just basic pattern recognition. These things tend to happen any time you mix aggressive and bored young people with guns in the same space as somebody that their commander has been told is "enemy territory". I think your assessment is valid and of sound judgement.

Was in a hurry and forgot to alt text, anyways, alt text: a space dragon teaches a class about astronomy and how to estimate the distance to stars using parallaxing

Oh my god, too real! You are so right! With digital literacy at an all-time low, their goal is to create a product that is a substitute for critical thinking, which will absolutely continue to put us in the worst possible hole, societally-speaking. Tech bros want a world of mindless cattle-laborers.

He used the word "paranoid" to describe himself more than once, so chances are he'll crash out in some kind of Waco-style confrontation with the FBI, but with drones and robot dogs at his SpaceX compound in Texas or whatever. Calling it now.
