Yes. Republicans have been trying to kill it ever since it was first enacted.

Where is East Part, MB? I use Merlin almost every day when I hear a bird I don’t recognize during my regular daily walk on my rural road here in Northern CA. Interesting to see the birds that overlap both your location and mine — song sparrow, robin, pine siskin — and which are different.

Beautiful pics! I looked last night at 10 pm and 3 am and couldn’t see anything from here. I missed a visible (by camera) Aurora on Saturday night. Ah well.

I could use a bit of that right about now. June Blue in Sonoma County.

I’ve long thought the same thing! Neighborhoods called “Oak Grove”, “Brush Creek”, etc. Also, in California, the forthcoming regulations meant to harden communities from wildfires will mean the removal of thousands of urban trees across the state.

Dustin! There’s this band called The Beatles… Semi-related: my wife and I enjoyed Dan Zanes’ (from the Del Fuegos) kids albums back in the day when our son was young. His version of Night Owl with Aimee Mann is 🔥 Also if you want your children to grow up right play CSN’s first album on repeat.

Actually, the original version of “I left my heart in San Francisco” was “I left my arms in an erupting volcano” before it was updated for modern audiences.

We both know that everything Trump does will never work against Russia’s interests. Ever. It’s like Trump acts as if there’s some sort of hidden leverage that Putin is using against him. Weird.

Has a cause been attributed to that blaze? It seems like it started in an odd area to be anything except for a power line.

, like “owning Greenland.” Most likely Trump is after a minerals mining deal and this is the way to get it: stick first, then the relative carrot of an agreement.

I believe tariffs have been postponed everywhere except for China. I don’t have a good article handy, unfortunately. I’m sure I’ve read something about Trump’s negotiating style…because once you see it you can’t unsee it. It also helps put some of the other wackier Trumpoganda ideas in context

Other life-changing distraction (war threats, say) and life will go on. This happens over and over again with Trump. It’s how he does it. The tell here is that Trump always praises his counterparts as “tough”. Btw, tariffs on China are being collected.
comment in response to post
Now, observers are so relieved tariffs aren’t 145% that the effects are different than if a tariff of 30% had been proposed initially. Stock market goes up, store shelves refill, etc. The longer-term effects of inflation won’t be recorded for months, at which time Trump will provide some
comment in response to post
Tariffs were being collected on China. This is typical Trump. 1. Redraw a previously established boundary far, far away from where it was. Example: 145% tariff on China 2. Negotiate to somewhere closer to previous boundary but still more in the direction Trump wants. Example: 30% tariff
