The "Mammoth" carbon capture plant in Iceland removes 36,000 tons of CO2 from the air annually. It is the only functioning plant anywhere near this size. The world produces 37.01 billion tons of CO2 per year. That's 1 million times as much. So ... no. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Labour have a gigantic majority. It's like having temporary charge of a bulldozer. There's no policy Starmer can't bludgeon through Parliament, if he wants. The other parties have no practical way to stop him. But in 4.5 years, the bulldozer is likely to get repossessed. So the clock is ticking...
