A thread for everyone complaining that flying the Mexican flag at the anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles is 'bad optics.' Thesis: California, Los Angeles, and Mexico have a long, shared cultural history (especially Los Angeles). The Mexican flag is not an insult, but a show of support.

I am having so much fun with this weekly produce box. This week we got fennel, spinach, and collard greens, which means next week's menu is fried chicken, a French veggie tart with brie, and spinach-mushroom pasta. Tomorrow I can BBQ sauce and because we also got cilantro I'm making salsa.

Personally, I believe that 100 people can take on 1 gorilla, presuming the 100 people are willing to accept some extremely high casualties. Like, it's not 100 people taking on 1 gorilla. It's 5 people taking on a gorilla that's exhausted from smashing 95 other people's shit in.
