Solid support system is a challenge. Most people who haven't experienced such extreme levels of abuse can't comprehend or offer support that they really emotionally don't have to start with. This is why support groups are so important.

I've seen cases where it doesn't stop when the innocent employee leaves. I do hope this isn't the case in your situation. It's similar to stalking but just done under the cloaked as a management style. It's not a management style, its abuse.
