A very satisfying outcome at the @oxfordshirecc.bsky.social elections today. Firstly the brilliant win by @maggieflpv.bsky.social and then the @libdemsoxon.bsky.social winning overall control. It made all the leaflet deliveries with @beealing worthwhile in Goring and Woodcote Division.

It is obvious why Louise Haigh was sacked now, the ten year old misdemeanor being a complete side show. Starmer has had his chance and he blew it big time. If he doesn't govern and instead try to speedrun Tory policies he needs to cross the floor and let the real grown ups take charge.

Work has started on Station Rd in Goring on Thames. The much locally derided road will finally be resurfaced and a pedestrian priority lane installed to hopefully make pedestrians feel a bit safer. @oxfordclarion.bsky.social
