I wish you and your fiancé all the best, a long life full of love, laughter and happiness.
I just don't want one of you to drown and then hallucinate a happy ending.

Erm, not sure how to say this.
Please don't do it "Grease-style".

We've been building the infrastructure for a while and the stadium income has given us a buffer against failure to qualify for the CL.
Otherwise we'd be forced to sell our best players whenever we missed out on CL.
Now, we just choose to sell our best players.

I was thinking about starters only.
Popescu should also get some consideration. His technical level would fit well in today's game.

The Stand is excellent.
I'd read Demons by Dostoyevsky as I promised my wife I'd do it some day.

Klinsmann would be a shoe-in.
That left back might have a chance, if he wasn't fucking nuts.

I've been "meh" since the start, you're only just arriving?
😜

I was lucky, I got paid to go there.

Talk me through that horrendous miss that might cost your team a point today.

I still don't really know anything about Kota Takai, looking forward to learning through watching.
I suspect he won't be the only one I go through that process with.

That Irish striker we sold them a couple of years back.

If Levy was serious about wanting to challenge for titles, he'd be calling up Bayern Munich.

I think the quality is going to be a bit of an issue but things start to ease up next season. Scarlett and Donkey will both be HG@Club List A next season.

He's basically "free" squad depth for Europe.
Or we do what we did last season and go into the competition with a reduced squad.
Difficult to complain if the players break down with fatigue related injuries though if we do that.
KWP is good enough for some games.
Not "great" though.
comment in response to

Rules say they need to have 4 HG @ Club in the list of registered players. They don't have to start.
Some of those are good enough for the bench.
comment in response to

They do have Gomez, Quansah, Bradley, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott though.
That's what good squad planning leads too.

Not Spurs but.....

Sam's end result was quite interesting, it was basically " if this is what the football world calls good results, I fear for the level of financial sanity in the football world".

I'm not feeling positively inclined towards Levy right now myself.

We can only go by what could be seen in the financial results but I trust my mate Sam's reasoning.

We're not in financial trouble but cashflow is restricted.
That's been known for quite some time tbh.

I got a French lesson from a guy in a shop the other day.
Apparently I didn't say "trou" with the correct emphasis.

I was waylaid this morning and ended up reading about Takai guitars.

I'm the opposite, I love the speculation but I'd love there to be a bit more legwork done by people claiming to have "insight".
I have 0 insight but I enjoy looking for uncut gems for Spurs to sign.
Not found 1 yet (any that signed).

All of the above

I can guess who might be doing that.
I (regretfully) watched a video yesterday where the host claimed they'd used stats to identify the perfect Tottenham signing.
10 minutes of waffle later, Angelo Stiller.
No sign of any stats. Just Whoscored strengths & weaknesses.
We've got a summer of this!

One thing I'm fairly confident of when it comes to Madders, he knows how to play the game.
And I'm not talking about football.

Frank has had to adapt to circumstances at Brentford, finding a system that works with the players available.
Maybe we'll see something different at Spurs?
I've no idea how the team is going to line up under him.

I immediately have grave concerns about anyone who sounds like they were in E-17.

Plenty of people did.
There's still a chance?

I just don't think he imposes himself on games enough.
Though, TBF, Ange did say that the wife players role on his sides were often underappreciated.
Maybe (probably) I've fallen into that trap.
comment in response to

Absolutely, all of this is reliant on bringing in "better" players.
Which isn't easy.

I think we've been reading the same pieces.
Madders looks great until he gets kicked. Then he drops off.

I'm extremely optimistic for all 3, and living in blind hope for Vuskovic.

I would love to see that.

There is the risk we put off upgrading in certain players in the hope our new head coach can get more out of them.
Maybe TF thinks he can "fix" Biss.
comment in response to
post
I am very curious to see if TF can get more out if him.
And if he can get similar out of Johnson.
comment in response to

I agree and I think DL has created an unnecessary rod for his own back.
Worse, he's done it to TF as well.
comment in response to

But even at his Bournemouth best, was he a striker Liverpool or City would go for?
He's good, very good, but is he good enough to reach that level?
comment in response to
post
I agree with you.
The manager/head-coach is key.
comment in response to

He has a lot of growth to do in his game, and that's not a slight on him in any way.
I just think that Danso is a better option and we too can do better.

We should have won the league that season.
I know we ended up 3rd but it was the best chance we've had in my lifetime.
comment in response to

Him and Luca Williams-Barnett just look "special".
comment in response to

Agreed that pretty much everyone could be upgradeable but the question is more "can they feature in a title winning squad".
It's just a subtle difference tbf.
