calling a general strike accelerationist is capitulation politics

fb internet arguments are always the same: if you criticize someone's support of a broken system they'll immediately pivot to calling you too immature to participate in said broken and corrupt system i'm just sayin maybe housing shouldn't be an investment, look at where that's gotten us

BLACK TESLA, OREGON PLATE 185-PFX, UBER BADGE IN REAR WINDOW. DRIVING DANGEROUSLY IN THE RICHMOND NEIGHBORHOOD IN PORTLAND. TAILGATED ME ON MY BICYCLE ON SE 41ST AVE HEADING SOUTH, CHIRPED THE TIRES AND SPED AROUND ME AT THE 41ST/LINCOLN INTERSECTION TO MAKE A PICK-UP NEAR LINCOLN AND CHAVEZ.

paper maps and notes don't lose connection or run out of battery. paper maps don't hide the exit numbers or street names. paper maps give context to whole routes and teach you your local geography. gps apps doing one thing well—live navigation—doesn't mean paper maps are useless.

having a millennial senility moment where i'm trying to remember what 5318008 is in t9, when i should've been turning the calculator upside-down

i can think of at least one quadrilogy in the Rush catalog: Witch Hunt (pt. III of Fear) (1981) The Weapon (pt. II of Fear) (1982) The Enemy Within (pt. I of Fear) (1984) Freeze (pt. IV of Fear) (2002) --- but they're not exactly sequels, more variations on a theme

every time a docker dev complains about desktop linux i can't help but wonder if they're so far gone down the poweruser vm rabbithole that they've completely forgotten what life is like on the surface you install a mainline distro, it works, you move on with your life
