You and every other Gen-Xer. When I was teaching middle school I tried to explain this to my students, but just couldn't convey the mid-grade anxiety that we all learned throughout our childhood.

Kitson will always be in my top three Legion artists. So clean, with a unique vision of the future.

Saw it this weekend. I loved it, but my wife hated it, so take that for what you will. Rare to see a production lean so heavily on the "yes, he's crazy" side of the equation.

A friend of mine lived next to him in Park Slope 20 years ago or so. We didn't know until I was helping her move out and he was seeing his wife and kids off on a trip. We're both hanging out on this Brooklyn sidewalk, but it didn't seem like the time to say, "love your work!"

He flashed his signature grin and said, "thank you, that makes me very happy," and headed out of the store.
Floated on air the rest of the day.

the phone behind me rang. I turned to pick it up only to discover it was a wrong number! When I turned back, Scott was already walking out the door.
But!
Two days later he came in again and I was able to tell him, as he passed by my register, "just wanted to say, I really enjoy your work"

In 1997, I was working at Tower Records at 4th and Broadway in NYC. I was on the registers one day when I saw the actor Scott Glenn at another register. He's been a favorite of mine since The Right Stuff and I was excited to be able to say so to him. Just as he finished checking out...

Every time my wife asks, "should I get X or Y," and X is an old standby and Y is something new, I tell her X. She never likes the new thing.
It does make the owners of the local Mexican joint laugh at us though. They don't even give us menus anymore.

Sounds like a fun party to me. Have each one with a different patron. Every encounter devolves into an argument over which one is the best daddy or mommy.

Oh, I understand all of that. I just hate that our political discourse has devolved to the point where we actually have to pay attention to these two raging narcissists.

COVID really proved that we can get the work done from home, but bosses just can't stand to relinquish that control. A 4-day work week is another aspect of this phenomenon.

Remote work is just as productive as office work, but bosses are still so entrenched to the idea that if they can't see their employees, the employees aren't working. When DoD did their "Return to Office" earlier this year, the bosses were the biggest cheerleaders, despite the drop in morale.

I lived through the '80s; mullets were the height of cool, at least among junior high schoolers.
So was MacGyver, for that matter.

Me too. I never felt like SW fit into the D20 mold and somehow missed the WEG version. The FFG system has become my favorite RPG system overall and the sheer volume of options available for the SW game is like candy to an RPG collector like me. I've played almost every week for five years.

No consideration that my classmate might just like how she looked with shaved sides and pink mop on top.
I thought it looked cool.

I think we make a minor mistake when we believe that identity has only just become central to the division. I remember being in high school in the mid-'80s, in the car with my mom, and she commented on one of my visibly punk classmates: "she's just doing it for attention."

Word. What a beautiful landscape and beautiful train. I've wanted a good HO scale model of the old-school, orange TGV since I was a kid in the '80s.
