Last winter we removed the evergreen Choisyas around the back of this bench. So glad we did - the newly revealed view through under the cherries to the grasses beyond is proving rather lovely.

Five hours after Israel launches pre-emptive strikes on Iran. The BBC, @theguardian.com , @cnn.com etc. have all been reporting on it for hours. Nothing at all on @telegraphnews.bsky.social . Is anyone still there?

It's windy and sunny, and so of course electricity is all but free this morning, if you're buying wholesale, that is... Think this works out at 0.1p per kWhr, or 1/10th of a penny.
