LA authorities are able to access law enforcement assistance at a momentās notice. We are in close coordination with the city and county, and there is currently no unmet need.
The Guard has been admirably serving LA throughout recovery.
This is the wrong mission and will erode public trust.

My mother in lawās brother was deployed and killed soon after in the Battle of the Bulge. My FIL said they were sending as many over as they could then. My MIL was a teen and her parentsā mourning was palpable for years. They had a list of distant family members killed in the holocaust.

He is! Freedom Rideāwow, including the visuals. Loved it. The political ones at the piano are clever and so true. The penguins! Great to make fun of this administration.

1977. Lived in northern NY 1 year. Had a NY map and Quebec map, headed for Montreal. Customs asked if I had the city map (āno, Iāll ask for directionsā). They looked at each other with alarm & gave me a map. Even with that, it wasnāt easy, especially since most would only speak French. Loved it. š

We once got lost in the Smokey mountains. It was night. Baby in the back.THAT was scary. We misread the map at one turn.

My mom had the Maps and my dad drove the car (no AC). Dad made a wrong turn. Bickering ensued. Summertime. We kids were seatbeltless, sweaty and stuck on the vinyl seats, all of us singing hokey songs. Eventually, amazingly we got to our destination. Good times. Note: Get paper maps. Just in case.

Itās so sad. Iāve seen the decline over the years where I live. Far less butterflies, bees, dragonflies, etc. Iāve hardly seen any in the last couple years.
