Focus less on sex and more on the person, who just like everyone has hopes and dreams and frustrations and then the person is loved and the story is heard.
Conclave gets you to love the new pope before you know his sexuality

I even think books and films like Conclave are instruments in changing the world’s perception - we just need more

You are a shining example of how change occurs. Keep up the good work

I’m now part of the Church of England and they have introduced a great work on faith and sex to bust the stereotype taboos - it has a long way to go but it is working

Well you have made one convert in me.
How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time.
Cool rational stories and kind considerate explanations
Not like some who just rant

But real change only happens when kids see it in their own homes being lived out so probably 2 generations of positive messaging
My kids are better than me at accepting cultural change and my grandchildren are doing even better

I use to work with a racist chap, but he truly didn’t know anyone who was coloured.
Then he worked with someone who was then he began to change
I’m sorry but changing perceptions takes a generation and starts in schools

All life is valuable and no groups should be demonised.
The media is your / our biggest enemy.
They show pictures of a violent looking man dressed with a wig and say he’s the typical trans.
You need good stories of good people to change perceptions

In today’s culture it becomes more difficult.
I think heart moving stories are the best way to change perceptions

Thank you this it is very informative and yes I’m guilty of a lack of understanding / education in this area.
I support inclusivity but I lack understanding Hence we need more non binary debates in the media (unlikely).
I have family who are LGBT and I had to adjust my misconceptions or lose them.

I’m sure they suffer so much but I was trying to say let’s try to work something out.

I was talking about ladies toilets - I have no desire to ban them from public life.
I was simply saying that let’s understand the aspects that hurt people on both sides of the debate with facts.
And judging by the responses there seems to be views on both sides

I’m a supporter of the Good Law Project and inclusive rights but if women feel vulnerable don’t they have rights too.
It’s very difficult I know but if we listen to both sides is there a place to move to next as a point of progress.
I know this will be unpopular but binary debates do more damage

I use to say democracy is dead we live in a media-cracy as state and voters were controlled by Murdoch and others but I could see that a Digital Dictatorship has flexed its muscles
So how do we save the world with the truth

I never read any right wing paper and I accept he has drawn this dubious policy but he has a good reputation so I find it hard to compute this with the man I know to have been good

80 years after stopping Hitler are our memories so short that we don’t spot a fascist dictator in our politics
The rise of Reform is from the same ideology as Trump.
We already have the fruit of the Brexit disaster but people are still going with Farage and his far right agenda
