Thanks for the heads up. As for “people”, Michael and I have been following each other on socials for 8-ish years now, so I’m pretty confident he knows my sarcasm/sense of humor. It was not an attempt to dismiss him or his advice. Cool? Cool.

Sorry, I just saw that my phone autocorrected and misspelled your name. Ugh. Thank you for the advice.

You’re so focused on archives when traveling to explore heritage and learn about ancestors includes so much more.

Bryan. I’m not going to go to a repository without knowing what I need, if anything, from it first.,

So, tragic all around. I was reading some of your other replies about your great-grandmother and was happy to see that you've connected with other descendents through DNA.

I bought a sub that I have not taken full advantage of yet. Will definitely be checking out Mr. Lowe's videos.

I both love and hate that my family were the pioneering types who just kept going farther and farther west (but not west enough for me to grow up at the Pacific Ocean *sigh*).

Keeping my fingers crossed that the places I'm going to check out are pretty walkable or have good public transpo. 🤞

All over MA and CT, possibly RI. Then head into NY and NJ when those have been throughly explored.

Feel better soon, Jan.

I love this, Melissa. I often feel the pressure of finding all the people and things because I'm the only one in my family looking and trying to keep my ancestors from fading into obscurity forever before it's too late. This is a great reminder that every little bit counts. Thank you!
