Just to recap, Trump has taken the extraordinary step of federalizing 2000 member of the California National Guard — over the objections of the state’s governor — in response to a protest that currently involves A FEW DOZEN PEOPLE AT A HOME DEPOT

We love a socialism buff! 🙌 Thanks for visiting us at Pride today! 🌈

Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ I’m happy to report I got every single trivia question about socialism at the @snocodsa.bsky.social tent correct! 🌈 ✊

Had a wonderful day at the Snohomish Pride Parade and Maker’s Market with @repberg.bsky.social and @44thdems.bsky.social . The @snocodsa.bsky.social tent and trivia was a blast! @snocoindivisible.bsky.social was there in force too! Y’all throw a wonderful and welcoming parade and party! 🌈 #Pride 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍🌈

It’s frustrating that shitty people try to code “female” to be an anti-trans word. Female is a fab word that doesn’t depend on age (girls and women). There are plenty of times age doesn’t matter. And yes, trans women are women, trans girls are girls, and trans females are females!

Now return them ALL and give them due process.

WOW. Breaking news from ABC that has the potential to cast serious doubts on today’s indictment of Mr. Abrego Garcia.

People shouldn’t be reporting this as “he returns to face charges.” They should be saying “Trump admin concedes it can bring people back from CECOT and tries some new shit against Abrego Garcia after the old shit didn’t stick.”

I’m seriously skeptical just from a quick headline on Trump returning and indicting Abrego Garcia because: *everything from this administration is propoganda and lies, *Trump uses domestic violence only as a defense and doesn’t actually care, and *ignores the right of due process everyone gets.

I guess we’re going to see what happens when the richest man in the world who is also a terrible person fights the most politically powerful person in the world who is also an abominable person.

It's hard for me to think of something that would make me angrier than the voters in my city taking away my library privileges to keep their taxes low.

Shame on these 5 Democrats who joined Republicans in voting for a bill requiring the Small Business Administration to take money away from "sanctuary" cities: Henry Cuellar Don Davis Laura Gillen Jared Golden Marie Gluesenkamp Perez They're just straight-up bigots.

The straightest thing you can do as a man is to think a lot about two other guys' balls.

Men, for the love of god, hug your fucken sons so they don’t end up like this

Adam Smith (challenged by a Socialist and likely a lefty D) decides to throw himself into a mud fight between two awful people. Smith just had to ensure his constituents know that he’s in alignment with Trump’s terrible decisions to snatch people off the streets. 3 horrible people being horrible.

In the Season Finale of America...

Love this. But shocked he’s not a Scorpio. Energy and vibe code Scorpio.

It was foretold.

As UFCW 3000 workers vote to authorize a strike, grocery store bosses are crashing out, busting out all their anti-union tactics to pressure a no vote. Looks like someone is scared! www.theburnerseattle.com/post/bosses-...

The United States Justice Department micromanaging how the Harvard Law Review’s internal reprimand of a student editor is insane

I just want a global 'turn all 'ai' off everywhere, categorically, no exceptions unless I individually approve them in triplicate' setting for all my devices

Cathy Moore lied about supporting building more affordable homes and expanding addiction treatment services when running for this seat. And she's surprised when her constituents responded by criticizing her for going back on her word after being elected???

TIL that Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, and Cary Elwes were in a movie together in the 80s.

That one time I threw axes.

lol! Found my notes from a phone survey I received in 2017 about the Seattle mayor’s race. It was an actual person who called me and I tried to take down verbatim notes but it went so fast.

My pharmacy went bankrupt and now Aetna (my health insurance through the City of Seattle) won’t cover UW services (where I’ve been going since 2007) as of tomorrow. I hate our system; it’s the opposite of healthy.

Elon Musk is now trying to claim he doesn’t do drugs. Here’s our response @nytimes.com

headline construction masterclass

The Trump administration is working with private companies like Palantir to create detailed reports on every American, which could help them weaponize our personal information in their quest to deport immigrants and punish critics. This is a huge threat to our constitutional rights.

Had a blast with Melissa at the Charles Smith Jet City wine release party and concert with Johnny 7 and the Black Crabs with Tony LaBorie! I love Seattle, wine, and music!

In honor of Chess returning to Broadway, just a few pics of my 1987 trip to London when I was 15. I got to see Princess Diana, Chess, Phantom of the Opera, and Les Mis. I rode trains, the Tube, and Double Decker Busses everywhere. And I ate at the OG Hard Rock Cafe. So 80s!

It's Friday again! I joined @gramsofgnats.bsky.social on Seattle Now to talk about the latest round of protests in Cal Anderson, increased police patrols at local parks, and the new additions to Washington's specialty license plate offerings. Listen here or wherever you get your podcasts:

BREAKING: Microsoft workers have reached an agreement on the first ever union contract at the company. About 300 workers at the company’s gaming subsidiary ZeniMax are unionized with @cwaunion.bsky.social, and they have a tentative agreement with the tech giant. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Presige tv is like a long distance relationship—long periods without hanging and sex, but too good to quit.

1/ The day after the Antioch High shooting, Nashville police arrested a 12-year-old for posting a concerning screenshot on Instagram. His school was supposed to figure out if it was a valid threat. Instead, the school expelled him with no further investigation.

This *probably* should have been a "fifth and final season" renewal, rather than just "fifth." I love "Hacks" and it should end on its own terms, whatever those are, but it also shouldn't go on so long that I resent it. And Hannah Einbinder is a LEAD actress and should be award-recognized as such.

Interestingly, this detail is replicated from the game. Anyway, lots to think about in Alan’s review IMO, a good critical perspective from someone who hasn’t played the game and is treating the show as its own work (which it is).
