Yeah. Feels like a Sisyphean task resisting this but heigh-ho we soldier on.

One of my very favorite books; the vivid scenes he paints are already cinematic but I can’t wait for this, especially if you did the soundtrack!

YES. “A past winner of the Breakthrough Prize was fired just last week” says everything about the progress we’re likely to see as things are going right now…

Why else do we even have front porches? ⛈️ 🩵💖🤍 (At this house it’s strictly metaphorical but one day I will absolutely manifest a storm porch.)

Ahh WisCon, how I miss the in-person! Nothing like being surrounded by people who speak your language fluently. I need to find a way to volunteer that my body will actually support but we’re all trying, so hopefully 2026 🤞

I feel super aligned here in Madison WI as a queer person and a creator/fan of all kinds of art & music but we (& Milwaukee) are a progressive island in a GOP-infested sea so it’s a catch-22. Cincinnati the same? I have yet to visit…

👏 Gorgeous! Definitely a book I’d buy for the cover alone! ♥️

I’m glad too & thank you because I’m pretty sure this is what I’ve been dealing with for years, including the horrible reaction when we tried an IUD. Add perimenopause to the mix and doctors are even more inclined to dismiss your symptoms. But I’m totally doing the color coded chart now!

Came to you guys first through “Gratitude” (Cassie Kinoshi’s seed) and you’re easily my favorite label. ❤️ from up north in Madison!

Wild. I’ve had to deal with these phrases under the same circumstances most of my life just because of my name, little knowing there’s a whole part of Belgium whose people are also regularly made to feel like inadequate wizards! I cringe in solidarity 😬

I also have to say it’s fabulous to be able to look up at that map as I’m working on book 2 and see that the train ride is a lot rougher from Prismatine to Gypsum than from Gypsum to Sphene! 🥰

The cover manticore, incidentally, was drawn by a real human being (and a wonderful one) @kgrayartmapsetc.bsky.social, who also created the book’s map.

Reminds me of when I used to work in a cubicle environment with someone who spritzed herself at least 3 times a day. We asked her to stop and she was totally shocked. I suspect as a smoker her sense of smell was just that weak, but I mean really… 😵💫

Sorry there’s no retreat from a line like “I hope that in the future we will be like two old barns on fire.” That made me so happy 😁

What a magical artifact! So many of us discovered the podcast at the same time and hold it dear for the same reasons; I feel like she made this on all our behalf!

This is outrageous even for Meta. I’m very thankful for this alternative! Long may it avoid the mistakes of its peers…
