Acquired another little bit of Chinese mlp g5 Dinosaw merch today from a lucky eBay listing! It’s mistys blindbox magnet and the associated collectable card! Hasbro never made any merch of Misty with her original blue hair so Chinese manufacturers have to come to our aid in that regard😭💗

Leaning that the creators of mlp g5 wanted zipp to be nonbinary and still consider them as such genuinely makes so much of their character make so much more sense. It’s why I used they/them pronouns for them to this day. I refuse to let companies erase characters queerness. Ever.

Also while I’m on the subject of Misty? I’m gonna openly admit I do not like the way the 2D show handled her hair. Specifically the way it functionally erased her cornrows. They’re an important part of her hairstyle. To the degree ALL her toys have them molded on by default.

The shockingly common fan belief that sprout should’ve been the final g5 main character instead of Misty feels incredibly off to me😭 Like I get that the movie built the potential for that narrative bridge. But they dropped it and finished his arc in a video game for a REASON. He’s the worst.

the pacing was alright until the shimmerverse arc. Then it felt like it was zooming to get everything over with. You’re telling me they go through all this effort to get their cosmic powers and then the show just… ends? No epilogue. No seeing the worlds now ok. Just “lel sienna’s home again!”
