Whether the teacher has a sub, the student is absent, someone calls in, we need to shift our mindset to the fact that we are PEOPLE, and life is for living. It’s messy, we need breaks, rest and healing. It’s fun, we need days of silly and joy. Education is important, and life is much more than that.

I will die on the hill that children should know what the anatomical terms for their sexual organs are so they can properly tell a trusted adult when someone is doing something bad to them. A child can't tell their teacher that they're being molested if they don't know the name of their body parts!
