And how, exactly, do you envisage this femtopian world run exclusively by women coming to be?

Mike Lee is scum.

She’s probably unable to wipe her own ass unless there is military-Barbie themed toilet paper with instructions on hand…

Like, maybe Kristi Noem and Karoline Leavitt? Sweeping generalizations are never useful...

Senator - lodge assault charges against the federal agents who physically violated your person. Just imagine the spectacle of local, *California* law enforcement arresting and handcuffing federal agents. This is exactly what the Trump administration wanted, but they blinked first. Get them!

Nobody really knows exactly what his role in the Federal Government is (but his son seems to have a good idea) or how much he gets paid, but The Edge Lord of Efficiency and Transparency just got a nice little $400 million dollar bonus for his car company.

This is the source - where it's discussed at around 6' in. Unfortunately he doesn't really go into the statutory details. This requires further research.

... will they listen? No, they will not. We need you and others with your networks and influence and others of your stature to open doors. We have your back, you will be protected to the best of our ability as "just citizens". Please help. Posting on Bluesky is not enough.

@rbreich.bsky.social please help lead the way ... as a former Cabinet Secretary you presumably have many high level contacts with unions, the judiciary, etc. that we do not ... if Rando Stan just rolls into some Federal Court and says hey deputize me and my posse to enforce your rulings ...

Sorry I mean budget reconciliation.

Yeah it was probably some cloture thing. I don't remember the details now.

I think there is some obscure procedural rule that Democrats discussed during the Biden admin when they had a majority, less than Repubs have now. They could have done it but Sinema and Manchin killed it because they were vulnerable (both gone now) and feared losing the ability to use it later.

In the meantime we need to start organizing to support such strikes. Stockpile food, save money to support those who will inevitably get punished, etc… Indivisible/MoveOn etc to start with organization.

Google “Democracy Docket” which is a non-profit voting rights org and look there. I don’t have the exact post but it was referenced there in a blog post.

Not completely disagreeing, but it needs to be thought out. The filibuster is a Senate rule and it can be voted down. It’s political capital to spend and it isn’t limitless. If everything is filibustered at some point the lapdog Republican Senators will just do away with it.

Yes but only after the courts undermine their own authority, by, for example, the Supreme Court upholding some EO that directly defies a lawfully issued court order.

This includes judges appointed by Republicans as well. Many of them are doing the right thing and making sensible, constitutionally reasonable rulings.

We need to protect and support the Federal Judiciary as much as possible while the court processes carry out.

3. This needs to be handled carefully. Open insurrection will be crushed. But defiance of court orders could allow Federal Judges to lawfully deputize citizens to carry out enforcing their orders (because the Justice Department obviously won’t).

2. This has merit. Perhaps Congress people CAN help here, as some might be more likely to have high level contacts in labor organizations that are better positioned to organize large scale action, as well as people like @rbreich.bsky.social

1. Is pointless. Call them and ask them to do what? The minority party has extremely limited constitutional or parliamentary authority. Many are frustrated by the perceived lack of action. But everybody needs to let that go, NOW, and focus on effective action.

I wonder if there are federal statues about tampering with active cases or intimidation of parties and law enforcement ... federal RICO statutes maybe? We need some federal and constitutional law practitioners on here...
