I like to say that to my students, but I follow it with “but there are inquisitive idiots”

That’s disgusting. The literal worst.

Actually not bad. Plus imagine my delight of turning on a TNT game and hearing Pete doing the broadcast.

He might’ve made the decision, but I think it’s unlikely that Ja, Jaren, and Des didn’t know.

Are we buying that though? It’s like when they said Edey at 9 was exactly what they were hoping for when we all knew they tried for Clingan.

Des being bad in big games is a concerning trend. 3 points tonight, 10 in the 20 point loss to the Clippers, 5-16 and 5 TO last time against the Cavs, 5-14 last time in OKC, 6 TO against the Knicks, 7 pts on 2-13 shooting against the Cavs in Feb, the 7 point game against the Lakers.

3 points tonight, 10 in the 20 pt loss to the Clippers, 5-16 against the Cavs two weeks ago, 5-14 last game vs OKC, 2-13 against the Cavs in Feb, a 7 point game against the Lakers. His worst games this year are all against the good teams.

Gross…

My guess is Marvin Bagley gets a shot. Closest approximation on the roster.

It terrifies me that they’ll take the wrong lesson from this.

The reason the democrats lost isn’t because they need to move to the center, it’s BECAUSE they moved to the center. Millions of young and working class voters stayed home because they couldn’t see a difference between two parties cuddling with corporations hanging with Liz Cheney.

Taking my sweet time with The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan.

I don’t even think it’s for Jaren. His contract expires when Jaren is up for an extension. Is this the extend Santi trade?

Tag me in coach! I got copies of all the books in the Stormlight Archives and would gladly use them to help filibuster. If you go off audiobook length that’s over 200 hours of material.

Are we sold on calling them “skeets”?

I haven’t. I was assigned to read it and loved it, but didn’t know there was a series for it.

Not a fun couple hours.

I’ll have to add that to my TBR!

I watched Season 1. I haven’t watched season 2 because I’m afraid they’re going to compress things from multiple books that I haven’t read. I figure they can’t go one book per season, there’s no way they do that many.

I haven’t read Paladin of Souls, I’ll have to add it to my TBR.

He basically said anywhere but Memphis. Why continue to pursue at that point? What if they make the trade and he decides he’s not coming or does the same crap he’s pulling now?

Could Derrick Rose have avoided the heavy injuries had he played fewer minutes? Maybe he wouldn’t have put such wear on his knees given his playing style.

It can go anywhere! There’s no mention of timeline in it with everything else, so whenever you want to read it, if you’re looking into larger Cosmere connections, it should work fine.

I had a similar problem with ‘The Fifth Season’ by NK Jemisin. All I ever heard was how incredible the book was, but it was so difficult for me to get into it with the second person perspective.

Favorite book in a series, probably Hero of Ages or Words of Radiance. Favorite standalone novel, Yumi and the Nightmare Painter.

Why not 6? He even splits each of them into 2 books.

I loved Tress! That being said, this fits more the cozy fantasy vibe than most of his other works which are more world-ending stakes styles of series. The ability to write incredibly satisfying conclusions though remains consistent and is probably his biggest calling card.
