Shouldn’t the NY Times headline note that this new policy breaks the law?

“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.” ― The Great Gatsby (1925)

“The food sucked and security was lax” “Trump delivered a brief address rehashing old crypto talking points, then left on a helicopter before taking any questions or pictures with his meme coin contest winners, an attendee said.” #LeopardsAteMyFace

They’re going to accidentally deport a U.S. citizen aren’t they

Brooke Rollins compares Musk calling Navarro "dumber than a sack of bricks" to Lincoln's team of rivals

“A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This is perfect. Absolutely perfect.

West Coast numbers are coming in, and estimates have now surpassed 5 million. People are still pouring into the streets—nearly 2% of the American population is rising up. America, we are so proud of you. You did it.

From now on, every time i want to tell someone to F off, I’m gonna say “Do you find this helpful?”

We are very far over the cliff here, folks

The executive branch will surely lose the argument that they have no control over the people they sent to El Salvador and are paying to house there. We are seeing real lawlessness here.

WSJ recommends social policy.

Hey WI voters. Did you know you have more power than Elon Musk? You have the right to VOTE in the April 1 election for WI Supreme Court judge. Musk doesn’t. Please vote for SUSAN CRAWFORD. She’s an actual judge who upholds the law. The other guy is a Trump kiss ass #Voices4Victory

Emanuel: Ever since the US showed weakness toward Putin in Ukraine… Within a week or two, China launched an unprecedented naval exercise against our ally Australia... They made unprecedented moves against Japan, against Vietnam, in the Philippine area, and on Taiwan’s straits. They see weakness

Many are saying that it sucks to be Elise Stefanik today. I’d argue that it sucks to be Elise Stefanik every day.

Before USAID was gutted, transport contracts sent U.S. search-and-rescue crews abroad within 24 hours for major disasters like Myanmar's earthquake. The once-effective system lies in ruins as DOGE cut disaster crews, dog search teams, and heavy equipment needed for rescue operations.

This is Randy Fine, who is running against Democrat Josh Weil next week in FL’s special election to replace Mike Waltz.

The fix was in against Ukraine from the start, as noted by David Brooks of NYT citing this old article. www.politico.com/news/2022/02...

Hello darkness my old friend …

So now we learn that Trump sent women to the male-only concentration camps in El Salvador and even El Salvador was like we can’t take them?!

BREAKING: Acting Social Security commissioner Leland Dudek says he is consulting with the Justice Department about shutting down the agency. Dudek told the Washington Post: “Unless I get clarification, I’ll just start to shut it down. I don’t have much of a choice here.”

The potentially crippling defamation verdict against @greenpeace.org — which hasn’t been getting the attention it deserves — appears to be a classic example of the trend in “Murder the Truth.” Powerful people and companies are weaponizing the law to muzzle critics. dankennedy.net/2025/03/21/a...

This happened today in a U.S. courtroom on the Alien Enemies Act: Judge "Boasberg asked hypothetically whether the president could declare Chinese fishing vessels were 'invading' the U.S. — and then proceed to detain and deport all the Chinese fishermen. [DOJ's] Ensign affirmed that he could."

Porter: I think what we should be asking Elon Musk and pressing him on is: what makes this change efficient? Imagine a clinical trial that is near completion, only to unravel and lose all that progress—just because Elon Musk decides to pull the plug. That’s not efficient. It’s just destructive.

This is how our government has been corrupted:  1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office.  2) Elected officials rewrite the rules in the donors' favor.  3) Donors make a huge profit.  4) Repeat. For the sake of democracy, we must get Big Money out of politics.

Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted… And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right. George Orwell, 1984

Can’t know specifically why this happened. But the DOGE boys were leafing thru the files and canceling some individual accounts that didn’t look right to them and there have been daily computer crashes at SSA after DOGErs canceled a number of the computer servicing/maintenance contracts

Along with the capitulation, this is the worst part. The relentless focus on process and “bipartisanship” rather than articulating the substantive issues with the bill and articulating a substantive alternative

Bless these fine people!

This is a Hitler-screaming-in-his-bunker-at-generals level of lunacy

Doesn anyone believe Bessent? From the NYT: “So far, the administration has brushed off the market turmoil. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Thursday that he was focused on the “real economy,” …“I’m not concerned about a little bit of volatility over three weeks,” he said.”

“Billions of people will lose their livelihoods and economic output reduced by up to 34% if the Earth is allowed to warm by 3 degrees Celsius this century, but investing less than 2% of GDP now could eliminate most of those losses, a groundbreaking new report found” www.forbes.com/sites/davidr...

What’s to stop the Trump regime from arresting American citizens who support any cause the regime doesn’t like? Where, may I ask, are the “First Amendment absolutists” these days? Where are all the Republicans who for years have accused liberals of “cancelling” their views?

If someone stood in front of me at this moment and said “Trump cares about our veterans!,” I might need a Bail Bondsman.

Musk is blaming "Herbert Sandler," among others, for secretly financing the protests and Tesla dealerships over the last few weeks. Sandler died in 2019.

Elon Musk's plan to cut the Social Security Administration's staff by 50% would cause 37,000 more Americans to die each year waiting to receive their disability benefits while the average wait time to collect these benefits would jump to 412 days. That is beyond unacceptable.

Elon listing a lot of Jewish names here …. I’m sure it’s merely a coincidence

The hypocrisy is off the charts.
