I believe the tree sparrows fledged 2 days ago. I had a brief sighting of one on a hedge and since then I haven't seen the parents fly in & out the house to feed them anymore. The great tits are still feeding their young, but I think they'll be done soon too.

Got noisy babies in both my birdhouses. Great tits in one and tree sparrows in the other. Today I got a sight of a very hungry beak. ♥️ Excuse the mushy picture, taken all the way from my window.

Today, saw a great tit in a home goods store within a big shopping centre. Happily singing on the high beams in the ceiling plus it made a few little spurts of flight. There were a few fire trucks chilling outside so maybe they had already tried to do something.

Saw two barn swallows flying and chattering inside the high, windowed entrance of a Lidl supermarket today. Either feeling trapped or determined to nest there. Maybe both. Staff had been trying to get them out all morning without success.
