A lot can be said about that hat, but in an industry that relies on innovation and imagination, it’s ferociously uncreative. He said it’s not political but what else could it possibly be? At face value it’s nothing. A pointless nothing statement. There’s so many great FPS coming out all the time.

Whether you like the Postal series or not, Going Postal: The Legacy Fortold is a great game dev doc. A good balance of perspectives from the devs, fans, and critics, and I can't look away from any train-wreck Uwe Boll gets involved in.

I'm rewatching Batman Begins and the open subtitles I grabbed didn't capitalize anyone's name, so in reference to 'Joe Chill' Rachel said some real moody Gen Alpha shit

I keep thinking about myhouse.wad

At a concert. There’s goths with canes. We’re all getting old.

Ricky Gervais is advertising his newest special or tour with a lazy joke. The kind of thing that crossed his mind and should have never left his mouth or reached paper, because of how unfunny and nonsensical it is. It’s an incomplete thought. Yeah sign me up for an hour of that.

Xbox price increase is wild… just saw this commercial on TV last night

🙄

I’ve been sick this week, but it was good timing with the new season of Black Mirror. Last season lost me but the first 3 episodes of this season have reeled me right back in.

Finished the foundations course on The Odin Project (web development course.) Learned a lot; things have changed a lot since I last did web dev. For me it was also a good example of providing good resources for self learning. Would love to see a game development version of The Odin Project. Onwards!

Listening to East Hastings and drinking an energy drink in my car before going back to work like I’m a teenager but in reality this is just old guy stuff now.

I've been complaining about software a lot lately, so here's some of my favorite programs on Windows: Everything (voidtools) GrepWin AgentRansack Terminal WSL RenderDoc Visual Studio (Yes, really.)

You can make a local user account on a Mac. Microsoft is speed-running making Windows the worst OS. www.theverge.com/news/638967/...

LOL I couldn't have planned this if I tried

Haven't used Unity for personal projects in years, shocked to find 6 in such an unusable state for someone with a lot of Unity experience. Highly recommend any former Unity users to just use Godot, Unreal, or another alternative - you're going to have to relearn anyway.

When deciding to do the complicated thing vs the simple thing with the same end result, for God's sake choose the fucking simple thing.

Cali Tacos California Burrito at 1pm is bad for 4pm productivity. Ingredients:

Since 2016 I've kept my personal projects folder organized by the most recent year it was worked on. The only exceptions are my main game/engine project 'Zero' that I chip away at every year, my work log, and a high level plan file (basically TODOs.)

The patientest gamer 🥲

I wonder if the AI hype people aren't worried about LLM output because they too are regularly confidently incorrect.

I felt this.

I've had a pretty good few weeks spending my non-work PC time using Linux, even gaming. Proton is incredible.

I tend to disable my accounts to take breaks from social media, but bluesky only has a delete option. In case you were wondering why I've followed you for the 3rd time here
