How many people have to die before they stop doing this show? Tragic.

It's a good thing people always read the article after they see the headline.

Since the existing tech is built on 50+ years of research and development, hearing people try to explain that today’s LLM products, which have been the same for 3 years, will be monumentally life changing in a few years time is driving me insane.
“Just imagine the thing that doesn’t exist!”

As a programmer who actively tries the latest “AI” offerings, I’m tired of explaining to people who have never written code on their own or before things like Copilot or Claude have never used existing code-completion tools like intellisense or visual assist that there are no great advancements.

Looking forward to the eventual Netflix doc & Apple TV+ drama miniseries. I'd say at this moment we're about 20 minutes & 1 episode in, respectively.

One person mentioned that due to a disability they could no longer play at a computer and they were ecstatic to be able to access the game again w/ controller support. That completely changed my mentality and if someone can play something I worked on and get a few hours of joy, then it was worth it.

I had a moment when working on the port for The Sims 4 to PS4 and Xbox One where I really felt like my job was pointless and I wanted to have a better effect on the world. When we announced the port though, I saw people super excited to play their favorite game when they otherwise didn't have access
