Anywho, enough rambling lol ... I had a lot of fun with this, and it's received some great feedback and compliments. I look forward to drawing him more, and hope to start getting comms of him as well :3

I couldn't help but add some Easter eggs about Synth and his story's universe, but it's mostly about myself ... things I enjoy, things I'm into, things I write, projects I'm working on ... I had fun creating each individual icon. There is a special meaning in each and every one.

My love of Megaman was also a bit of inspiration, which in turn inspired the background. Perhaps it was a disservice cuz it drowns Synth out a bit. But I had this idea in my head of him being in a phone or computer selecting apps, kind of like a NetNavi or something lol ... the idea just got big.

I wanted a circuitry design, and chevrons. I let go of circuitry, cuz it was only due to the story I'd written. Instead, I went with hexagons and chevrons, and drew inspiration from the synthwave sun motif, CMYK color scheme, wetsuits, and motocross gear. I wanted something simple but eye-catching.

And it had to me of my fursona. My own designed-by-me fursona. My first was a kitsune, but it was a Second Life avatar I tinkered with. My second was a snow leopard, but a friend designed him for me. But Synth ... he's mine, an extension of me, and the aesthetic I enjoy.

I love how this image came out, but I know I have a lot to learn. I know how to draw this singular thing. Okay, I also did a front view and back view for a ref sheet in the works, but yeah lol ... I just wanted to get something big and complete out of my system, so I can say 'I drew that.'

I'm a perfectionist. It's both my worst quality, and my best. I have a terribly high standard for myself, but it makes me extremely detail-oriented. I cannot even begin to describe how often I had to fix little things that were pixel-tiny, because you might not see it, but I know it's there lol

I took two years of Spanish in high school, but they taught Castilian Spanish... in America. I never used it, so I can barely remember much.
And now I live in Germany. Now it would have been useful lol...

Sexuality has many labels, but it really is a spectrum.
You like what you like. Sometimes another person isn't what's doing it, but a character is. You don't have to have the answers, and you don't have to follow some set of rules.

Yeah... much of why I hadn't been writing for over a decade is cuz life slaps you upside the face with its demands. When I was done for the day there was just no steam to be creative. Gaming was my outlet instead.
I'm still figuring out how to make a living lol ... but at least I have time.

For me the writing is slow-going, but I'm taking the time to learn art and develop my writing style as I work on a novel. So far the mindset of committing to a series has let me breathe, because I'm breathing life into characters that I'll be writing for several books.
