Every time that the mainstream has claimed there is a line it’s been crossed with little to no fallout for the government. How many folks claimed they would riot if roe fell? How many riots were there when roe fell? There is no line but the one you personally make, the same is true of consequences.

Oh for sure, but it would help in very specific situations if I had meteor wishing powers!

At least then I wouldn’t have to blame myself, I don’t have Meteor Wishing Power!

I once ran into someone describing it and they said something along the lines of: it’s well dressed, gay men, reading poetry to each other.

Hannibal is probably the sexiest show I’ve ever seen and there was very little sex in it. The tension between Will and Hannibal was so freaking intense, even more intense than Kirk/Spock in STTOS.

Read this as a kid, I remember really liking it, but that’s about all I remember. I suppose I should fix that sometime…

Bring earplugs and throat lozenges/cough drops to share. Protests are loud (flashbangs are louder), and yelling that much can make your throat hurt/make it hard to continue yelling and chanting.

By physical contact I generally mean things like “hold hands” but if that isn’t an option try to stay within a couple of feet of each other, things can change very fast, you don’t want to lose each other.

Do not pick up tear gas canisters they can be EXTREMELY HOT. Put something over them to block the smoke like a bucket, a box, even a traffic cone will help.

Note the risk for most of these groups is death or permanent disability. The risk for pregnant folks is miscarriage.

- having a helmet with you is a great idea. One that is held on with strap(s) is best. If the cops are moving towards you, it’s definitely time to put the helmet on.

- When folks start running shout “WALK!” at the top of your lungs. Basically go deep breath “WALK!” deep breath. Other folks will start yelling along with you. Make sure you are walking at a reasonable pace. Do not run in a crowd. The running is more dangerous than whatever caused it almost always.

Folks who are especially vulnerable to tear gas include: children and babies, pregnant folks, seniors, folks with lung related issues, pets, if you’re in these groups and they start gassing or spraying it’s best to leave. If you see someone in one of these groups: let them know they’re at risk.

- make sure you and your buddy(s) check in before hand on what you’re comfortable doing, stay in physical contact with your buddy during the protest and keep checking in about how you’re feeling with one another. - watch the cops. If they have gas masks on you should also.

- before you go out write important phone numbers on your arm with sharpie in case you get arrested. - do not take pictures where protesters’ faces are visible. - leave your phone at home. If you cannot leave it home turn it all the way off and put it in a ziplock bag. - have at least 1 buddy.

…suggest washing them) or simply throw them in the trash in she sealed bag. Once you’ve stripped head directly to the shower. Take a 20 minute cold shower. Washing from top to bottom carefully. Use a gentle soap like a Castile soap. Do not use a scrub brush use soft rags you’re okay with tossing.

- if you’ve been gassed or sprayed you need to decontaminate: strip as close to nude as you can outside and leave your clothes out there. Once you are done with decontamination for yourself you can put those clothes into a plastic bag and seal it. Then either wash them throughly (I don’t actually…

- if you have been sprayed or gassed you and everything you are wearing on the outside layer is contaminated. Do not go into any enclosed spaces while contaminated, you could seriously harm someone else with exposure who will not even know they’ve been exposed.

- carry water and snacks, more than you need, plenty to share with folks. - bring a first aid kit full of things you know how to use. - cover as much of your body with clothes you don’t care about as you can (this helps protect your skin from chemical ordinance). - wear comfortable closed toe shoes.

… civilian gas masks have glass eyes, and are also hard to see out of: don’t waste your money on something so dangerous on the street.

- use a respirator with organic particle filters to filter out tear gas and a pair of sealing goggles for your eyes. The goggles are an impact risk, so getting ones designed to protect from impact is best, or you can get lab goggles to wear over your swimming goggles. Do not get a civilian gas mask.
