"Elves don't wear hard hats"
Sounds like anti-Elf slander by a rival Dwarven construction company!
Also, "Knights don't teach piano"? Since when were knights a supernatural creature?

Are any of these people actually monsters? If 'Monsters' don't "drink lemonade, flip burgers, ride motorcycles/bicycles, or scoop ice-cream", then WTF are they doing?
Unless these books are about subverting stereotypes;
"Vampires don't drink lemonade!"
"Some of us do! Ve can drink votever ve like!"

I love Necromunda, I've been playing it since it first came out in the 90s. I'm currently in the middle of an Underhells campaign with a new gaming group that I've just joined, and I'm having a blast.
That's a great looking table. Almost like an outdoor Zone Mortalis.

That's why skulls are great for bases. Sure, it's clichΓ©. But one or two skulls show that this is a battle that has been fought for a long time, or is in a place that frequently sees bloodshed, given the presence of long-dead corpses. Given that she has no face, maybe a skull would be ironic...

Literally, a couple of bricks and a piece of rebar sticking out of the side of the flattened top will change the base from grey stone that could be anywhere, to the ruins of a building. That's all I do to my bases; they're simple, but one or two tiny things tell a story.

The model is standing on something grey and stone-like. But where is that stone located? Is it urban rubble? Atop a snowy mountain? Bases can be kept grey and "bland", but one or two small details, like rubble and rebar, or a glowing crystal, will place the model in a world, without stealing focus.

That's how you do it! I got the 2016 ed. for xmas, played half a game with my Dad the next day. I didn't play it again until THIS FEB, where I joined a league at the LGC, to make new friends after moving to a new city.
I'm currently languishing at the bottom of the league table with my vampires π

I can imagine Sanguinius lining his troops up for inspection, proudly noting their noble countenances and gilded filigree on their armour. Then his face just imperceptibly sours as he sees Sgt. Apple Sourz here...
*Sanguinius, through gritted teeth: "The green mohawk...'ahem', good choice, Sgt."

I think it looks great. It really gives 'Rogue Trader-era' Space Marine vibes. The parts you used to build him, your colour choices, it all works together really well in a way that may not be exactly like the current "standard" Blood Angel depiction, but definitely fits into the Heresy era

I know you've always been able to do this, for as long as special characters have been a thing, but removing the majority of character customisation options has turned generic characters into nobodies that give your squad a reroll, while Skullus slaughters everyone.

It's also hurt the gameplay, imo. The concept of building an army around "My Guys" has vanished in favour of using super-cool and powerful special characters. Why take a standard SM Captain, when you can take "Skullus McTwattius" for a few points more, and gain his unique rules?

Agreed. Even the Daemon Primarchs, while not feeling as 'out of place' as the loyalists, should've stayed as background characters. Too much lore now revolves around a few uber-powerful characters, imo. It has removed their mystique, and made them no different to any other "generic" character.

What an odd rule. Especially as GW once made their kits with intentional "cross-setting" build compatibility, and would feature this in their publications, e.g. "Look, you can stick these new Elf heads on Eldar models!"

I'm the same, but with conversions and kit-bashing. If I like the 'official' colour scheme, I'm happy to use it. But I nearly always have to repose a model, or swap bits at least. I love a unit of 'Super Skull-eater bastards', but these are MY 'Super Skull-eater bastards'.

So, I know you're probably doing Iyanden, as mentioned by someone else here, but I do love the white with pink shading. That would make a great colour scheme

I thought that crowd hated ND people that have self-diagnosed? Or is it 'OK' for him because he's a 'genius' (also self-diagnosed)

Funny really, as Drazhar is actually a trans character, 'technically'. The current host for Drazhar's spirit/soul/mind etc. is a female Incubi Klaivex, who found and put on his armour, and thus was taken over by and became Drazhar. Drazhar is canonically trans masc π
