By me, on what Sánchez is really doing with the Catalan thing in the EU www.euractiv.com/section/poli...

This fits my impression of Mitchell hosing everyone with sub-LinkedIn corporate-speak, bombastic bollocks. 10 years ago he probably communicated exclusively through PowerPoint. Now his best mate will be ChatGPT and he'll demand that his breakfast cereal is "AI-first". We all know the type.

This looks like a key moment from an unreleased Star Trek movie before the Klingons attack a Federation conference.

It turns out that @georgecaulkin.bsky.social is actually very funny when he's not gripped with anxiety and tasked with documenting the never-ending soap opera at #NUFC. This is excellent comic writing. www.nytimes.com/athletic/638...

I love Newcastle United so I'm prepared to throw my hat into the ring to be Sporting Director. In return for a moderate 6-figure salary I commit to publicly spouting some sub-LinkedIn corporate bollocks then ensuring synergy with Howe by staying at home scouting for players on Football Manager #nufc

All the journos on the #nufc beat who had hoped for a quiet week after the end of the season.

I was only joking, FFS. #NUFC

Very sad to learn that Barry McIlheney, Empire’s visionary original editor, has passed away. Sharp, funny, and bold, in 1989 he and his team laid down the tone and philosophy of the magazine, something we still strive to follow today. Here’s a piece he wrote for our 400th issue a few years back.

I am probably the last to discover this but my mind is blown that Andor's Diego Luna and Stellan Skarsgård were originally in cast Goal! and filmed a couple of scenes before the director left and the film was completely changed. #nufc

An important life skill to develop is the ability to not have an opinion on a thing. This is because there are many things which it is not necessary for you to have an opinion on. A related skill is recognizing that the list of things on which an opinion is required is different for everyone.

Jeff Arcuri absolutely killed tonight in Barcelona. 1500-seater theatre, sold out, rocking. Hope more English- language comedians realise there is a big audience here.

Absolutely raging we still haven't signed anyone. Mitchell out. #nufc

Newcastle were rubbish today but it's still been a great season. We will soon say goodbye to players who have been great for us. It's a pity they leave on a wet fart of a game like this but they deserve to go with heads held high. Wilson, Longstaff, etc., big part of our story in recent years.
