I also want this very much. I have seen a few pages of a “how to draw manga” book that was did some of this, though it was not perfect. I’ll try to find it in my archives

I am delighted to discover that kerning controversy is a thing

Dave Barry strikes me as humor for those deeply amused by someone buttoning their shirt incorrectly

*waking up from sleep in Ohio just now* What the HELL this is abominable

Damn. I inexplicably missed this when it happened, and I just sent this thread to myself so I never ever forget

Thank you so much. I needed your reporting, and I passed your quotes and reactions on to the news channel of my trans queer community

Absolute agreement with your thread. It’s your experience, and your mind and loved ones to protect. No tolerance required for the bad or milquetoast actors. I do the same unrepentant blocking here, and I tried to do it on Xitter before spraining a thumb blocking hundreds of terrible people

So much useful sanity here. Thank you. I’m adding a 📌 to this collection, a follow, and backing up my pushpin with a message to myself in another medium

I’m not a native speaker, but I did have to explain this to Spanish students. You’ve made a good deduction that often (but not at all always) works. I used the analogy “para” is like an “arra (arrow)”, aiming for a target, which I got from the “News in Slow Spanish” people

I’m flabbergasted. WTF indeed

What a surprising use of rhythm. Already sent your link to a 60s pop fan of the unusual. Thanks!

As I read, my moods sank, simmered, snorted, seethed …and I emerged with my sketchbook. A moment of communication with whomever before work pulls me back in. Thank you

Great idea, and I’m hardly surprised that I received one of these chopper baskets as a gift and had no idea how to incorporate it into my kitchen flow. Project for tonight, thanks!

Absolutely. Since I realized that the forgotten and liquifying vegetables in my crisper tray were part of my “ADHD Tax”, I save money and food by filling that drawer with condiments only

I have no words for that answer. Clearly I should spend tonight asking more straights what they mean by “straight”

lol Wasn’t his next move here to reanimate her corpse? Ultracringe, Adam

Truth! But I swear that I love Dan’s take on the strip for other reasons as well!

I know this is probably insufficient, but your response to the “assume stupidity” commenter on George Takei’s post is barbed — and important. There is no middle ground and you nailed the response. I selfishly hope you stick around

I’m in Camp Spike, because he was my gateway into surrealism, anti-jokes, and “is this pointless or brilliant?” Sally and the thinking schoolhouse had nothing on Spike and his silent-as-a-cactus cactus

I’m reminded of Izzy Cohen of Sgt. Fury’s Howling Commandos. Issue 6 had Izzy mocking the racist fill-in commando. I don’t think Izzy’s religion was named but strongly implied.

Glad for you! Seeing Nick Cave perform for the first time 5 years ago (when I had no idea who he was) rewired my brain in good ways. As did seeing Warren Ellis in the hotel gym in the gaudiest Hawaiian shirt possible after the show lol
