I kinda hate that people abuse them and that we end up the ones paying the price for it. I have to sign and show ID and that’s the only prescription they do it to me on. Idek how people are like ā€œthis is funā€? The most fun thing about my meds is I dream very vividly if I fall asleep on them lol

Raised money for PCRF on livestream with my first live-streamed singing performance in years. I performed alongside a bunch of amazing other nerdcore artists! This was also my first time singing with in ears live!

They honestly did something right! It’s bigger than a lot of airports out there but FEELS smaller than even those.

And this also means that I’ve developed the habit of being unable to sleep without white noise now… I do not own a white noise machine lmao

Like the BEST applications are as a reference tool and a tool for speeding up workflows. The only time I can see the latter working well though is with non-generative components like text and with better enforced rules for generative models solving the ethical issues with licensing samples.

Output from those should always be edited by a human though simply because it CAN get things horribly horribly wrong and misconstrue tone and emotion. That’s why we’re running into issues with so many AI generated books and articles being absolute trash for usefulness or enjoyability.

That’s totally fair! I think they’re trying to turn it into something it’ll never be though. Probably the only thing that will likely last is non-generative AI such as ChatGPT and Gemini’s text components as finding common text/info patterns don’t really ownership and sampling components to them.

It’s like the rubber duck theory in programming but with responses. The idea is as you talk to the duck, you realize things you didn’t before by talking it out. AI simply adds a layer where an idiot robot responds and makes you go ā€œthat’s funny/wrong, but you did help me think of something betterā€

In most cases it’s a sentient dumbass that talks back when you throw ideas at it. It’s not really useful for giving you anything you can just put out there raw, but it’s great for encouraging your own brain to work at making something useful!

That said, PLEASE understand how these tools work and who might be affected if you use them in the wrong ways. There is a huge fight out there for artistic rights surrounding AI that I absolutely support that needs to be respected and raised so creators like me can keep doing what we love!
