Sorry to every skate video ever for not being this cool

This is right. The summer of 2018 was a turning point in Trump’s first term because child separation and that weeping 6-year-old was a bridge too far. We covered abuses in the detention system relentlessly at CNN Investigates because they were wrong, but also because the WTF of it all was clear.

The most vital thing you can do right now is spread this message offline to normies. There is no "unrest", there's a protest. It has 400 people. LA does worse when the Lakers come in 3rd in a season.

The most striking thing about the LA protests is how many people just dropped everything to show up and yell at federal agents. There are people in suits, and carrying dogs, and wearing flip flops or bike helmets. These are not people who planned to do this today. But there they are.

they're doing this because the Insurrection Act sounds cool and edgy but they can't actually justify using the Insurrection Act. it's a silly action by an insecure administration desperately to seem manly and powerful. it should be criticized relentlessly, but it should also be laughed at.

KEEP THIS IN MIND: As they are trying to turn the US into a police state, Republicans in Congress want to give this regime $155 billion MORE to build the largest and most unaccountable domestic assault force in the history of democracy.

There are two pathways to what Trump is doing: 1) He is federalizing 2000 National Guard troops; or 2) He is deploying 2000 members of another state’s National Guard with the permission of *that* state’s governor. These posts walk through the relevant authorities—and the questions they raise:

Fake emergencies to justify crackdowns-not very original

Trump quoted Hitler and said he'd unleash the National Guard against the "enemy from within" before the election. Here we are folks.

It's just the mass delusuion and inability to say "I was wrong" that gets me.

West Virginia is warning that women who have a miscarriage could be charged with a crime unless they contact local police. Every woman in WV should call 911 every time they have a period. Gum up the system with malicious compliance. www.cnn.com/2025/06/06/h...

Two weeks ago, Ben Schrader - the highly respected chief of the criminal division for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Nashville - announced he had resigned. According to LinkedIn data, that was May 21 - the same day as Abrego Garcia's indictment. 1/2

Around the time that Kilmar Abrego Garcia was indicted in the Middle District of Tennessee, the chief of the criminal division in that district posted this on LinkedIn: “Earlier today, after nearly 15 years as an Assistant United States Attorney, I resigned…”

/1 ok Initial thoughts: 1) I say this with no admiration whatsoever, but extraditing KAG from ES for federal crimes instead of simply complying with multiple court orders to bring him back the usual way is a brilliant way for the Trump admin to save face here abcnews.go.com/US/mistakenl...

your inability to hold hate in your heart for more than one person at a time is a skill issue and you should work on it instead of being proud like this

Pretty sure this should tell you all you need to know about the veracity of the DOJ's charges against Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

This statement opposing bail for Abrego Garcia is about as credible as that photoshop of his hand Trump waved around storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

These two orders combine to provide DOGE with both access to extremely sensitive information and protections against accountability. 1. Access: bsky.app/profile/chri...

A huge win for the rule of law. Not the end of the road, but keep fighting for a system of laws and not of tyrants. It works.

There wasn't going to be a resolution of this where Abrego Garcia went right back to ordinary life in Maryland with a path to potential citizenship. We demanded his return so he could receive due process and contest allegations before his ability to remain here was determined. That now will happen.

Abrego Garcia charges arise from a stop in Tennessee in 2022 where he wasn’t ticketed, but had nine other people in the car with them

If Abrego Garcia committed a crime, he should be charged and tried. I wondered reading this headline why they didn't just do this in the first place, and then read the article to discover that they only began the investigation in April, after he was deported.
