Their focus? The switch didn't have a camera. I wouldn't be surprised if the rumored PlayStation handheld doesn't have one either.

Building a camera in opens a whole slew of regulations for different countries. I.e. where the data can be sent (can they share it to social media, local save only, games?). How to handle things like the camera shutter. Can other players get sent pictures? etc.

The solution, unfortunately, is that positive users need to take time to actually block obviously toxic users who are just being toxic for attention. I've increased my blocklist by like 50 in the past week or so just nuking any obvious bait i see.

The main reason (and tbh i've seen an huge uptick in the past ~2 weeks) is that certain people are now desperate for attention. The switch 2 launch in particular was a fairly easy time to drum up easy likes by going "switch 2 bad" and posting a hastily drawn meme to go with it.
