It kind of seems like we are a country that settles it grievances at gunpoint, though.

I refuse to believe all leftists are like this, but many of the online ones are both radicalized and mentally ill. They are deeply paranoid and delusional and do not possess a fully developed theory of mind for other human beings.

You can improve your experience on this app by 1000x if you auto-block all the dickbrains who reflexively use "ableist" as a snarl.

If there's ever been a more stark example of projection ever posted on the entire internet, I've not seen it.

But isn't suffering state violence kind of their whole claim to superiority?

Because the armchair revolutionaries are pussies, they always have been, and everyone knows it.

If you were as dumb as him, you'd declare yourself to be already dead since death is just a very slowed-down form of life.

You are literally substituting white history with an even whiter version of history. That's the problem.

Lee fought for Confederate power, i.e. the state's right to chattel slavery, and if you somehow think he's morally superior to the government that ended chattel slavery, you have tapioca for brains.

The "states rights" crowd sure is stone-silent on this one!

These were almost certainly selected as Trump friendlies by a spineless general officer.
Doesn't really make it better.

The only people who think he's an asshole are people who expect participation trophies for losing an argument.

Stancil is always in the right. Sometimes he fucks up his sense of timing and proportion. But this is not one of those times.

I hope you're mocking what you're quoting here. It's getting harder to tell irony from earnestness these days.

God I am tired of these assholes. He knows it's bullshit. Who is this even for.

Yes but don't forget to say "I didn't leave the left, they left me". And then go be what you always were.

The conclusion here shouldn't be "and so they won't do it", but rather "and this is how Russia gets what it paid for".

You can find historical precedent in anything if you look hard enough. Assuming it's predictive is a fool's game.

There is a reason the regime has been consciously using the language of invasion, infiltration, and describing immigrants as "military-age males with cartel ties".
This country will tolerate a lot of murder if you convince people the targets are terrorists.

I'm suggesting that it may look different from the cases of "dictator orders military to fire on civilians and then falls".
Maybe it looks like "military police believe they're being attacked and we have a different situation".
And maybe some chaos agents are working to create that situation.
comment in response to

It won't look like Lt. Calley ordering fire on civilians.
It will be a masked Proud Boy popping off some shots and the National Guard (many who are cops) thinking, we're justified in defending ourselves.
I'm telling you, don't sleep on the me-too militias and agents-provocateurs.

You need to understand that in some areas, the day job of half the NG is some sort of police or other thing that flies the black-and-blue flag.
Remember the militarization of police? It's not all tac vests and surplus MRAPs.

Depends which units get activated.

What if it's not the California National Guard? What if they bring in another state under 502(f) as Trump did in DC for the George Floyd protests?

When I served in the NG it was probably about half cops and firemen.

What they'll do is strip entire states of electoral votes. They will provoke California into some state of noncompliance, then declare them to be "basically in rebellion against the US" and expel their reps, etc.
I've expected this for a long time, and it seems to be kicking into gear as of today.
