i don't mind the schedule difficulty in general. i'm concerned about players who are on international duties and how ready they will be.

you aren't paying attention to his booster seat, though, are you? see, it works.

i mean, they're complicit in this mess we're in. they went after biden every single chance while explaining away every single inane rambling trump uttered. hell, they were parroting the bullshit about VP harris having no plan when she repeated it every single time a mic was in front of her.

he'd be giving himself a medal. also? mainstream media is STILL talking about that 80 year old guy having a bad night but NOTHING about the shooter.

i know sane people don't wander into the shadowy place that is tiktok but have you seen the girl who voted for trump and is now crying on tiktok - along with her gofundme, naturally - about her *illegal immigrant* father who is apparently due to spend the last 6 months of his life in ICE detention?

if he was paid to do it, he would not have been safely captured. he would have been "caught" the way the kid who supposedly shot at him was.

it's still insane to me how these people can consistently be apprehended perfectly safely and without harm. hell, there was a florida man who was EATING HIS VICTIM'S FACE who was safely captured. but . . . . . .

TIL you guys call them 'supply teacher'. we call them 'substitute'. excellent article as always and i agree with the points made. i feel like zinny and ramsdale were the hold up last year. i want quinten timber to replace partey at DM. if they couldn't tell oxlade-chamber and gibbs apart . . .

this part gave me pause. “I figured we was good. I figured they was looking for criminals – like Trump said. I figured that they would run his name, see that he's not a criminal and that was it. I didn't think that he was ever going to be taken by ICE."

i was saying that to my friend just yesterday. i don't see how you can feasibly do it because you're going to have multiple teams/nations pulling because their athletes are going to be afraid to come.

the fact that ESPN hitched their whole ass wagon to this guy and stephen a smith is absolute madness to me.

91?!?? that's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long ago.

lastly, as ALWAYS, terrific read.

i, too, love pinnock and think he's been underappreciated. not necessarily a fit for us but i love him as a PL-level CB. yes on núñez if value and no on rashford. rashford is just not an off-ball worker. a little older/not a prospect but i'm shocked at the lack of conversation around wissa.

reason i think maitland-niles ran afoul of him while nketiah lasted so long), 3) high football IQ while 4) not being wasteful with low-percentage speculative shots. the general attacking qualities, i think, are secondary to him. not snagging samu after chelsea screwed the pooch was a mistake.
comment in response to post
i think people tend to focus first on attacking qualities - not incorrectly so - and not enough what arteta wants: 1) someone who physically battles CBs and fight for that release ball from GK (it's not a height thing, gabe jesus is short but he FIGHTS), 2) high energy and desire to press (the real

this is why the stupid "gentleman's agreement" crap has always been dumb to me. if you want to have release, get one. otherwise, STFU. it sucks about nypann but, if we're being honest, our loan program is trash. we need to get better at it to show these prospects we can handle their careers.

lack of press for maignan has never made sense to me. he's always seemed quality. don't forget: same chelsea hilariously had omorodion setup before backing off to sign joao felix instead. 😁

i still don't understand why wissa is getting no love. he's older than our typical signings but he also wouldn't be nearly as expensive.

i don't see him going, either. if money was a deciding factor for him, he could have moved last year and got bigger wage. he stayed with leipzig because he wanted to play.

at that point, just get a damn tabo and be done with. i *think* those were originally marketed as a reusable kitchen towel. at least i'd seen videos of that. as TP is . . . insane.

getting a bye on bullshit technicalities is equally absurd and perfectly UEFA.

i hate this so much. they should just make it foot vs foot. it would make it far easier for referees to determine it, both live and on VAR.
comment in response to post
heh. i hate picking on him but what little minutes he got, he was racking those things up like it was on sale.
comment in response to post
and how much of that is sterling? because it felt like he logged them at an insane pace, given how few his minutes were.
comment in response to post
wait. wasn't city in the same competition as girona?
comment in response to post
oh! fair point. he had to have been on a sizable wage with chelsea.
comment in response to post
i'm kinda shocked kepa would come. you'd think he'd have a ton of options after last year.
comment in response to post
we also desperately need to get better - MUCH better - at having an actual plan for doing loans. we got better for maybe a year or so then went back to just randomly picking teams again.
comment in response to post
i'm just glad butler-oyedeji got a few minutes in before it was time to move on.

and yet you besmirch the name of all the wilsons. the jacob, the mookie, the ball from castaway, the woodrow . . .
