The U.S. seems to like concrete barriers with tapered, wider bottoms. If you hit these at 80mph with your high profile pick-up truck, it will flip on its back before you can pull your eyes away from the cellphone. But at least the truck won’t go into the opposite lane. Really bad design…but cheap!

I lived in Tulsa for 12 years. My wife grew up there. Neither of us even heard of the 1921 Tulsa massacre until a few years ago. It is almost unbelievable how the really bad facts of our history have been suppressed and hidden.

I did the same too. But my parents had a 1 gallon pasteurizer that took care of the pathogen issue. That was in the 1950’s. In the US, more and more people seem to be getting dumber and dumber.

This guy is an oil SERVICES company executive. He drank some - what he claimed was - reservoir fracturing fluid a few years ago to “prove” how safe it was. His appointment to head the Energy Dept is like appointing your local auto mechanic to head the Transportation Dept.
