Incredible how EVERY topic is now political. Rebel News now supporting a clinic that profits off pushing false promises & unproven supplements to ALS patients? Of course, I'm not credible because I've received peer-reviewed research grants from independent entities like the CIHR & the SCN. Sigh.

I'm a renter, but I was intrigued. I love this kind of helpful advice. Definitely watch this first if you're hunting for a new fridge.

This probably wouldn't turn out to be cost-effective, especially for local and small brewers, but I'd welcome the change from the annoying tall cans that are mostly used now. Thank goodness Lawrencetown from North is still in small cans. And it would psychologically taste even better in a stubby.

Article at the end states there have been questions about poor labour practices. I'm shocked.

“Once a constitutional crisis becomes an endemic condition, the term no longer usefully describes our collapsing system. Instead, we live in an era of constitutional failure when the relevant institutions cannot fulfill their responsibilities.” washingtonmonthly.com/2025/06/27/i...

Every time the IT department sends an email reminding us of the dangers of unexpected emails with a suspicious attachments, they include word document that they say contains the firm policy on such things. No idea what's in there. I'm no sucker.

Wow!

Folks are starting to see the ads! 7 so far. The first 50 people who take a picture of the ad INSIDE a bus and post the photo to Bluesky with the route or bus number and the hashtag #ExaminerBus will get a bag of Examiner swag (stickers and a pen) mailed to them.

"Such a body should not be a partisan stunt. It should be a declaration that facts still matter, and that the nation’s health infrastructure cannot be left vulnerable to pseudoscience and political bias."

RIP to a great man and a great journalist. He was the best boss I ever had by a mile. I’d bet that he was the best boss any of us had ever had, www.cnn.com/2025/06/26/m...

So @timbousquet.bsky.social has said the first 50 people who take a photo of a Halifax Examiner ad INSIDE a bus and post that pic here with the route or bus number (and the hashtag #ExaminerBus) will get a bag of Examiner swag (stickers and a pen) mailed to them. A wee bit of early summer fun!

I also think that, if young people could be counted on to vote in every election, candidates would have to cater their policies to them. They can make a statement & spoil their ballot if they want. But young people are unreliable voters, which creates for them a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 endometriosis on Monday. I'm lucky: I have an INCREDIBLE gynecologist who discovered it during a laparoscopy to remove my tubes and a 6 cm endometrioma. From emergency room visit with burst cyst to today was a year. I cannot tell you how fast that is comparatively.

We've got an issue on the MacKay Bridge Not sure what, but we've got back-ups forming on the CIRC... Looks like it's only impacting traffic to HFX at the moment. If you know what's happening there, send us a TXT or VM 902-222-3802 #HFXTraffic

The BC Human Rights Tribunal found for the first time in Canada that failure to allow alternate work arrangements for an immunocompromised employee is discriminatory on disability grounds. It's not binding outside of BC. But courts and tribunals in other provinces will consider it in their rulings.

New piece by me! I wrote about how freaky measles is, which many people don't know about. It depletes immune cells, and makes people vulnerable to many other infectious diseases. This raises the risk of complications for years after an infection.
