IMNSHO I enjoy food a little too much and TTRPGers and EDM musicians just barely not quite enough. Not notable in any way. Also not sure how to engage with this firehose.

I know, right? Wild, isn’t it, that it may take a robot and AI uprising to save humanity.

In other words, Harvard is the mail that sticks up the highest… at the moment.

That was no glass ceiling. That was the concrete plug they used to cap the septic tank.

"Duck Dynasty?" Perhaps too highbrow for the crowd they're trying to pitch the series to. Who did "Bum Fights" again...?

It IS good to see that the "overzealous staffer" who delivered coffees in the first Trump administration found work elsewhere.

The blood loss, mostly.

And if the far-right were at all sensitive to looking hypocritical, rather than parading it around like an XBox achievement, the observation might have had some effect. Don’t expect them to be ashamed of anything, or afraid of anything short of actual force.

Cheering on the carnage until it affects them. So on-brand you could trademark it.

Those supposedly sane republicans realize there’s no safe place to run.

To be fair, ANY motion can be dangerously if entrusted with enough unchecked power. The question is now, where was the checking?

Sadly that depends a lot on the "god" they believe in. His is probably the one that considers empathy a sin and mercy a weakness. Interestingly, by his continued existence, he demonstrates the need to regard empathy, like tolerance, as a social contract that he may no longer benefit from.

Yes. If there's a Democrat in office, they will complain about corruption around every corner, and try to use every filthy trick at their disposal to highlight it, whether it's there or not. If there's a Republican in office, 🤷‍♂️

Eh, I can take milk products but most of the time I don't. I refer to myself as "lactose belligerent."

Hey, at least he's still getting a restaurant out of it. When the Steak & Shake near me finally packed it in, it became a dispensary.

Is it too late to suggest he include “Overcooked: All You Can Eat” in that study? Because that game is a) adorable, and b) capable of tearing relationships apart at the seams.

Aww, you have to cut her some slack here—it's not like she understands how "town halls" are supposed to work.

His supporters are okay with this. You think they feel shame when they're caught in hypocrisy? Their attitude is more like "yeah, and what are you going to do about it?" I choose to interpret it as a "dare," or perhaps a "permission in advance" of some form of karmic retribution.

Madam, has your son tried being less of a joke? (No. No he has not.)

There comes an uncomfortable question in all of this… if the press is this intent on …Let’s call it “normal-washing” Republican lies and empty rhetoric, why are we keeping them “free”? The argument for nationalizing or dismantling these grossly unbalanced outlets grows with each lie passed along.

No, they’re really not.

I just came in to suggest “Department of Government Evisceration.”

Too easy to believe, really. Remember, they don’t use words for their meanings. They make mouthnoises or type fingerwords just to get people they don’t like into as much trouble as possible. It’s like they’re using language so cynically that they literally don’t care what they’re saying.

Honestly, it wasn’t THAT bad am RPG…

There should be sneer-quotes in there somewhere, e.g. “serious” thinkers or serious “thinkers.” Both MIGHT be overkill.

I’ll say it again: Susan Collins’ concern has a value just south of burnt fiberglass insulation.

Explain? That would suggest an actual understanding of language. No, they mouth words. They speak in connotations and not meanings, hints and not facts, and by freeing what they say from any context or relation to the real world, they can make any accusation they want.

I can try. In return, could you please make these and then take my money?

There have been one-index-card Fate character sheets, and I’ve even printed some myself. (6x4 is still technically an “index card.) The place where someone at the table could benefit from flat & selective presentation of info is behind the GM screen. Monster feature and gift cards?

A: None. That's a hardware issue. Call IT, and they should have new equipment sourced in two weeks.

Conversely, when states go to court, there’s an expectation that the court will apply the law fairly and justly, properly take established case law into account, and not disregard blatantly incriminating evidence (even recordings).

And ordinarily, I’d agree, you don’t want to go alienating potential allies. But are these people, who consider mercy a sin and empathy a weakness, ever to be trusted as allies?

It’s how the Dick l’Orange thinks a leader speaks.

Our culture is TRYING to send a message that young men should not objectify, stigmatize, or abuse women. Isn’t it weird that so many on the right—men AND women—take issue with that message?

I just checked, and yes they did. I clicked on the name and hit “Report Something Missing,” But I couldn’t finish it; the thing missing (Tim Cook’s spine) wasn’t on the list of choices.

So journalists, if you're stuck in such a relationship, please consider leaking those stories you can't get published to as many competitors as you can.
