Wait no the screenshot shows the optimal at 6 so you could potentially get the diagonal and an extra points for doing it in 5 though it wouldn't be much though

Sadly no because the diagonal word is five letters long so you’d need at least five moves, it can be better to aim for the 5 moves if you can the diagonal though as it should give you more points.

I wanted things to be casual where even if you did poorly you’d still get abase points for finishing and even more points through the bonuses.

I might increase the points you can achieve from optimal move bonuses, but not have it be as high as the diagonal.

I’d say that’s well balanced given that setting up a diagonal word actually takes a bit more works than doing less moves in some cases even though ending a game in 3-4 moves is pretty impressive as well 😌

Let’s say we had a tower with 7 optimal moves and you achieved it in 4 moves, you’d get 22 bonus points plus hint bonus that’s 154 however with the diagonal bonus and hint bonus plus the 2 moves not taken towards the 7 moves you’d eek out 184 points.

Hey everyone sorry i’ve been away so long. Dis goal bonus is always 30 points extra meaning that if you have a choice between the optimal score and the diagonal best to go for the diagonal score as it would generally give you more points.

Hmm i’ve also had that thought I do try to make the diagonal bonus worth a bit more. But intuitively it feels better to get the tower in the least amount of moves.

lol Let me look back on how i do the scoring calculation and i’ll get back to you 😊😄. Yes the optimal score is a bonus so if the optimal score move is 12 and you got it in 6 then you get a points for the extra six moves you shaved off.

Honestly it happens, sometimes the words just aren’t coming and I step away for a couple of hours go do some other things and then pick up later and it just clicks, which is the case for so many things tbh.

So the share feature kind of depends on your device for me if i hit share I won’t see Bluesky first i have to scroll over a bit, it’ll also be different based on if your on Android i’m on an iPhone and even between different versions it may looks little different hope this helps 🙂

I’m going to have to start using some form of bug tracker to have a bit more visibility into what’s happening I think it’s definitely how data is stored now but it’s hard to say.

I’m not entirely sure I did so some changes to how the data is stored, it may have done something. What happens when you click on a game that you already have a star for does it ask you to replay or does it show your old score?
