Most of them do own it and are proud of it. Any innocent person caught up in the "deportations" is considered acceptable collateral damage to them. Same with kids in school shootings - acceptable collateral damage for the Second Amendment. I don't get it.

We can disagree. I just don't think the democrats' platform resonated with most Americans. I don't disagree with their stance, though.
comment in response to post
Disagree. They don't focus on the issues most Americans care about.

I was thinking the same! But I don't see any guns or confederate flags.

I understand how and why you feel that way. As a 4th generation native Texan, I hope you don't hold it against us. Despite...(looks around) everything, it's a wonderful place. So glad you're somewhere that makes you happy, though.

I was going to say...is that all?

And DOE sent out an email today, bragging about the "47" regulations they rescinded. Note # 26.

And it's only red because they've gerrymandered the hell out of it. Texas was blue in my lifetime, and I hope it will be again.

Yes, this is resurfacing in MAGA circles. I've tried to find the true story but have come up short. Seems like they're making a mountain out of a molehill.

As a public servant, we were always taught that appearance is reality. That's why we weren't even allowed to accept small gifts.

Online texts get messy sometimes. Sorry for any confusion. This issue just doesn't get enough attention.

Just agreeing with you 🩷

White collar crimes do exponentially more damage than violent crimes.

Not that I know of, but I'm guessing most red ones.

I've been wondering this myself. Federal workers should be first in line.

The gerrymandering in Texas is next level.

Unfortunately, the Texas legislature is still in session, talking about many ofnthese things.

He's been plenty around in Texas - attending sporting events despite the fact that our teams lose every game he attends. In all seriousness, though, he's been focused on his podcast.

His dad is Cuban. He was born in Canada. Texans haye him but he keeps getting reeclected.

Allred hasn't announced yet. He didn't do particularly well last run, all things considered. Paxton is in the primary vs Cornyn.

People who have no children in public schools LOVE to tell others what is and isn't happening in public schools.
comment in response to post
We joke about them being children, but most of them are. Seasoned comms/PA have been replaced with 20-something loyalists who have very little education.

I was going to ask about insurance. I'm 43, but my dad had parkinsons and lewy body dementia. Was interested in getting the vaccine.

And now they're trying to dismantle it with funding cuts.

I'd love a link to the data source for this!

Even if there is one, correlation does not equal causation.

The right will tout this as "collateral damage." Just like our kids who die by gun violence just so they can own a dozen or more assault rifles.

What business does The Heritgae Foundation even have, trying to tell companies what to do?

They all hate women. They try to diguise it, but not well.

He's my rep. He doesn't care.

Media is for-profit. Until truth is more important than money, things will never change.

I started looking then. What I wanted wasn't available. Any suggestions for a single mom?
