Sometimes you get half way through your mission and realize… there are other things in life. Might be time to cut your losses.

This feels like a whole genre of nerdery I'm not familiar with. Delicious. What exactly is happening?

At a time when developers are strategically constraining supply to massively increase profits while making home ownership impossible for millions of Americans, you would further add to their profits with no concessions? What are you doing? Make them earn it.

In these trying times, a solid fact check on critical info is just smart business.

I don't use Rust at all for these exact reasons, but they worked super hard to create a language that is incredibly efficient with strong safeguards for common misuse patterns. This seems to throw all that away so people can treat it like Python. What a waste.

This is really one of the strongest brands in the space, but they have a ton of unexplored potential and they know it. S2 should be amazing, and I expect several further iterations will be needed before they've exhausted their options.

Tbh if the surgeon general was just a great leader that listened to experts and took meaningful action based on science, I wouldn’t mind a bit that they weren’t also a world-class doctor. But they should at least have a solid track record of caring about health, listening, and making great decisions

You’re going too fast, wasting time stretching around the outside. Double tap to slow down juuust a bit without losing all your speed.

Even without any new datacenters, we should expect energy use to continue to increase significantly as power production devices get smaller, cheaper, and more efficient and the majority of the world that has small or even no power footprint gets better access. LLM unrest seems pointless.

We live in a time when the wrong outcome to an election could massively disrupt your life for years or decades to come. It’s worth a little short term hardship to keep the ship from sinking.

I'm 100% for bringing these people home
And I'm 100% for stopping the attack on our economy
And the attack on social security
And education
health care
...
Have we had any results yet? How many things can we actually protect? We need to start seeing wins, even if it means shelving some priorities.

Is the why important? It’s not a cult, it’s an orb, give the people what they want. You don’t have to break science to let people appreciate it, propaganda or not.

Halley's is a boring rock, but it's the rock that all other comets are measured by. Pluto is getting expelled from the friends & family plan, and all it ever did was send us its love. Get some branding in there, give it a participation medal or something.

It's not my area, and I don't really have an stance on it's classification, but I think there's some overwhelming evidence being ignored by science and it's this - people love Pluto. We grew up with it, it's in our hearts, and what we hear is that science says it's just another boring rock.

I like that idea - Open the door and let an innocent person go free. We should do that here in the US.
