It's been over 20 years since this clip from Michael Moore's 'Fahrenheit 9/11,' and members of Congress still aren't reading bills before voting for them.

Harrowing thread.

A GOP Council Member called to deport Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani. Zohran is a US citizen and duly elected official. Threatening political opponents with deportation is straight out of a fascist playbook. It’s how hateful cowards respond to a multi-racial, working class movement. Disgusting.

🚨New Report: Hunted From Above documents Russia’s use of armed quadcopter drones to deliberately target civilians in Kherson, Ukraine. These attacks are not random—they are precise, intentional, and #WarCrimes. 🧵 www.hrw.org/news/2025/06...

Read this horrifying testimony from Israel's massacre of people just trying to get food:

A hidden measure in the Republican budget bill would crown Trump king https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/may/27/a-hidden-measure-in-the-republican-budget-bill-would-crown-trump-king

The Trump administration is working with private companies like Palantir to create detailed reports on every American, which could help them weaponize our personal information in their quest to deport immigrants and punish critics. This is a huge threat to our constitutional rights.

Still searching…

And this is exactly why Congress is refusing to stop Palantir from harvesting Americans' personal data.

They’re doing the meme.

something that stands out about this is just how cheap it is for us to have world-leading scientific capacity we spent ~6.75 trillion last year, and the combined budgets for NIH, NSF and NASA are barely more than 1% of that what an incredible waste to lose it all for a drop in the bucket

The flood of encomiums and morality tales about Elon's turn in Washington cldn't be more predictable, vapid & sickening. If you want a story, get me the story about the crisis comms team directing this. He ran anti-constitutional blitzkrieg thru the federal government, did massive harm, violated ...

Nature ran a piece finding that 25 million people could die as a result of ending USAID. This puts Trump and Musk in the category of the most brutal leaders of the 20th century in terms of unnecessary lives lost. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

This is brilliant. Watch this and ask yourself, is there a risk of quid pro quo corruption created by SuperPACs? youtube.com/shorts/REHO3...

"These companies are at an inflection point.... If Senate Republicans now vote to prohibit states from regulating A.I. for 10 years, Silicon Valley’s impunity will be enshrined in law, cementing these companies’ empire status." - @karenhao.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

In January, Trump fired 19 inspectors general who root out fraud and corruption. One of his picks to replace them is a GOP ex-congressman who allegedly violated House ethics rules. Another resigned from a state job after allegedly mishandling taxpayer money. "Drain the swamp."

I’m not saying we should flood this line with UFO reports but I’m not NOT saying that either.

Here's NASA astrophysics, if I read the president's proposed budget correctly. 🔭

Shall I be plain? I wish the bastards dead

let’s say it again, class: “AI” IS NOT INTELLIGENT. it’s glorified autosuggest. it doesn’t “know” things, & it doesn’t “calculate” anything other than what words are statistically likelier to appear next

Socialism is what they called public power. Socialism is what they called social security.    Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.   Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people. —Harry Truman, 1952

There's an easy fix for this. Start a nationwide project using AI to identify the people snarling in the background of all those old civil rights photos. Problem solved.

Whether Biden or Trump—the American Empire’s colonial war machine continues its desensitized rampage to slaughter as many innocent lives as it can. Unfathomable genocidal horror funded by American taxpayers. I am ashamed.

I just sat through a 90m all-hands where *multiple* IT Directors did their presentations on AI & why we should be using it…and they used AI to make said presentations. 🤦🏻‍♂️
