lemme put it another way: if a HUMAN(s) “learned” from Disney movies & started selling nearly exact copies, they’d get (rightly) sued. so why should it be ok when an over-bloated computer system run by techbros who clearly have no respect for the creative process do it on a MUCH bigger scale?

wow it’s almost like you’ve never heard of (or are willfully ignoring) the term “intellectual property”. or lawsuits over music or designs being too similar. or counterfeiting.

camera woman is the real hero here. not only is she watching the watchers (who are clearly abusing the absolute shit out of their authority), she came PREPARED & was ready to help immediately. THAT is what “protect and serve” should look like.

and i still remember one of my first thoughts after that event was “gdi they’re gonna use this to justify some truly awful bullshit aren’t they?” and lo & behold: DHS & ICE & even more invasive bullshit security theater at airports. 😑

ah the old “the computer flagged you” excuse. tbh facial recognition software is far from perfect (especially when presented with anything other than “typical” cis white people 🙄) but it’s also not unlikely that a human made the call for “additional screening” 😑

omg wow, you’re SO RIGHT, it absolutely MUST be that anyone who doesn’t just shut up & be happy in the face of literal fascism must be… *getting paid* to post shit. 🙄

History's unforgiving lens reveals a clear truth: when presidents deploy the National Guard against citizens fighting for civil rights, it's not a show of strength, but a glaring moral failure. Our kids will read these chapters and know precisely who stood on the wrong side.

funny how when you try to run the government “like a business” all you care about is immediate profit (& huge returns for the executives)

And share these police facts: "One-third of all Americans killed by strangers are killed by police" "officers discussing who will kill dogs before they even arrive" "Police solve just 2% of all major crimes" "Arrests at End of Shifts Rake In Overtime Pay" Laughing at not responding to 911 calls

“less than lethal” just means they get even more fucking sadistic & indiscriminate with them.

When an artist uses materials with text on them to create a collage, it's natural to assume that they chose the materials in part for the meaning of the text they include. Papier-mâché, on the other hand, uses paper (usually newsprint) simply for its physical properties. The text is incidental. >>
