I have no idea about the stories, so it's purely on mechanics. Just seems fun to play a powerful commander with a heavy restriction.

No worse than Amsterdam. Needs to be a big city with easy travel connections, central to the potential audience.
Finding somewhere suitable that isn't expensive would be a big challenge.

My son and I agree: ride the shoopus is best card in the set.

Just finished my prerelease. Huge fun. Set is amazing with lots of flexibility.

Just finished prerelease (1-1-1 with an Abzan with Kenrith deck). If I'm home in time I'll swing by. Set is amazingly fun.

Not strictly opening, as they were 2nd of 3, but as a support band I'd never heard of when I saw Paradise Lost, Pallbearer blew me away.
I could also say Sabaton, opening for Iron Maiden, but they're headliners now.

Rachel Weekes' rule:
Something old, something new, domething aggro, something blue.
If I were going to Magiccon I'd also try and cover the brackets I want to play. And something for quick, simple games.
So I'd have 6 with me. In Amsterdam I had 5 and played them all enough to justify it.

Then I see both EK and Kibler mentioning my boy Ghired...

It's probably my Riku of the 2 mirrors deck ( moxfield.com/decks/o8wfR9... ) that tends to be durdly, but can pull of some degenerate stuff on the right draw. It also packs several alt win cons and has often surprised me with lines I didn't know it could pull off, like an army of Junk Winders.

I heard there were issues with holding it in Germany. I'd love Copenhagen or Paris though. Stockholm would be absolutely ideal but less likely.

I'm very much "could it be a standard MtG set?".
Dr Who? No. I bought a deck as a fan, but it feels wrong.
LotR? Of course. Seamless.
Fallout? Some of it works, some doesn't.
FF? Seems fine, and Avatar just feels like Jeskai gets a whole set (i think there's a planechase card that fits?)

Sounds so like the online CBT I've been doing. "Face your fears by watching hospital shows and learning about illness."
As if the 20+ years working in a hospital and the MSc in clinical science weren't there...
It's useless, i have no motivation, but I have to slog on.

I think it was a small muscle tear. Swelling, some bleeding. Painful but nothing serious. Scared the stuffing out of me when the swelling burst mid-dump though... lucky i could localise the bleeding to my leg.

My own brain is working pretty much as it should despite my anxiety issues and the therapy program that is doing no good at all.
My leg muscle injury seems to be healing.
Couple of wins there.
Also three day week because my son graduates high school on thursday. Then prerelease friday. Feels ok.

Thought you might. Pretty sure you've worked with said company in the past. I was a regular customer of theirs for years before it went south. It's a shame.

Already happens pretty regularly. I've got a Kickstarter from a former pillar of independent UK minis manufacturing that is over 2 years passed delivery despite sculpting being finished pre-campaign. No updates in 6 months, longer for more than sob stories.
Another for a game sequel is overdue too.

This. Alt /extended art absolutely, if I like it. Never liked foils though. I will even actively try and unfoil decks.

I have nocks for my bolt on the way. Exciting. Probably going to take a while because transatlantic but it's for my 3 favorite decks and they deserve it. Just need a solution for the dice that I have in one end now. I have a bag of d6s in the lid, with my tokens.

Wes Andersson stuff - specifically "Grand Budapest Hotel" - weirds me out, because I see how beautifully made, performed and scripted it is, and yet I didn't enjoy it. It pisses me off that I can't work out WHY I don't like it. No big deal but something that has irritated me for years.

I built him originally almost exclusively from my LGS' chaff boxes. Nearly all golden. It's fun.

Been saying that about France for years. I think it's a rwspect thing. If you at least TRY they'll try to meet you half way.

Rare is the album that unites the raver and the metalhead. Fat of the land is such an album, and it is all killer, no filler, wall to wall bangers, perfection.

I've had Shared Animosity do some heavy lifting, but Molten Gatekeeper does so much work, especially if I have Impact Tremors out....

Hofri is a bunch of fun. The recursion/sticky board makes for a nice aggro-burn deck disguised as a reanimator deck.

On a sunday? You'll be lucky. IIRC they still close everything on Sundays there. Station probably your best bet.

My wife's family were big fans so I've seen most, if not all, of it. Well worth your time. No other show manages the same levels of ridiculous comedy and heartbreaking social commentry, often simultaneously. The final episode is a masterpiece.
Genuinely the best TV show ever in my opinion.

Just looking through the spoiler. I'm determined not to go deep on this set as I have no connection to FF. As I don't have a Dimir deck maybe Golbez, Crystal Collector running an Affinity/Modular deck. I briefly ran a Gruul modular deck but didn't enjoy it. I just need to find all the cards.

Can't argue with all the votes for BoP, Bob, Tim, Llanowar Elves, Serra Angel or Shivan Dragon though.
