That’s just how it worked out thankfully. They were put into internment camps after the war by Poland because they were German. They managed to survive the camps & apply for refugee status in Germany.

Originally from a German settled village in Poland called Slonsk Gorny. They lived as refugees after the war in Lasbek Dorf, Germany.
