I made these earrings for my mom's birthday. The dark wood is Ohia, a native tree in Hawaii, from my mom's house on the big island. The lighter wood is maple, cut from a local tree my father-in-law milled himself I wanted it to be a symbol of connection even if we're far apart 💖
