You know, everything else aside (which is hard to ignore) im really baffled on why one wouldnt fully raise it to be level so you could have a kitchen instead of endless stairs in a container build? The sustainability impact of two more legs cant be that great?

As someone with books that look like those on the builtins behind the ladder, I would love to know what those are!

This being the first thing when opening up this app solidifies that it is much much better than the other app. No code needed here. But as someone that has been in a position to ask for one, thank you for this. These acts of kindness have such resounding effects. Digital high five ✋!

I left a great dev job for a new one and 6 days in they cut me and 95% of staff due to budgets. Due to lack of time in the field an low junior roles open I ended up working in a doggy daycare. Figured if im going to struggle i should do so pursing more growth potential. There grew 2 businesses 🥳.

Just gave kay’s work a look and I can say with confidence the excitement of getting to use these will absolutely knock out any snags this new learning journey gives me. Webdev is cool but the creativity in gamedev is so freeing it seems like. Thanks for the creator suggestion!

Something about that blank contribution charts at the beginning of every year really feels like starting a new sketchbook. You just cant help but have newfound motivation to fill it

But the struggle for many still exists. Advancements in quality and costs however and school funded materials are better than when I was young. I hope they keep getting more accessible and kids gain interest in this space through positive experiences. I still have that floppy btw 😅

-Takeaway: I decided from then on I would learn everything, one day have everything, and be best project doer ever. But how upsetting is that to a kid. Im glad we live in an age where storage is so cheap and so large. I paid 3 dollars for 64gb on sale. More than enough for a 10 slide project…

-Flustered: I get told i cant present (her school tech could take a floppy). I explain in front of everyone i cant buy a flashdrive. A friend says borrow mine and bring it back. The teach says no then we’ll both be late. It took multiple phone calls from my parents to get the work accepted..

-Presentation day: Floppy disk in hand and title of weird kid on my name already, my name is called first and I can feel the red flush of embarrassment knowing my storage device is “weird”. I hand it over and my teacher looks at me like im pulling a joke on her. Kids ask what that even is, im red..

-My work around: I took my dad’s prehistoric laptop and meticulously made my project with my limited internet access. Crossed my T’s and dotted all my I’s, only realize, I cant afford a flashdrive. BUT this old tech takes floopy disks (its 2008). So I use a floppy and practice my demo all night…

-The story begins: 6th grade math was already difficult for me. And here came our first big project. To do a powerpoint slide show on how some of our great equations came to be and present it to our class. Easy right? Well what if you dont have a flash drive and cant email it? Heres what i did…

Hey there im a former delta airlines frontend software dev! Math was always my roughest time 😂 and that mountain was a climb but once it clicks man is coding fun. Like digital legos where each block is a new piece. Love your contributions on here to!
