And about missing aprons, I’d wager.

It's an extra bummer because at some point Super7 had a reputation for seriously good cart art. I'm not a big fan of the MOTU ReAction figures in general, but the artwork was always gorgeous at least.

I know a lot of people don't like the Cobra-La concept, but the original Royal Guard has a seriously impressive sculpt. I'll probably buy this because I'm an easy mark, but it is a downgrade in every way.

I'm inclined to agree with you. It's basically perfect and actually came with a ton of fun character-appropriate accessories, too. And it was a figure that actually needed a modern re-release.

Oof I am hoping that's just a weird angle because the head sculpt just looks bad in this photo.

I think they both look pretty good, but neither is an improvement over the original. I get why you'd do Falcon in a movie-based wave I guess, but the choices are still overall kinda baffling to me. Big Lob and Pythona were right there!

Once A Man Cobra Commander looks perfectly fine. But that makes three different Cobra Commander figures in four waves of toys. Truly unhinged figure selection lol.
That being said, I just like getting new o-ring Joe figures in general. So at least these are SOMETHING.

Like, why redo Falcon at all? The vintage figure is perfect and already matches the movie. And they gave this one a shotgun (like the vintage figure) when he does not use one in the movie?
Not sure who was clamoring for a Royal Guard remake, but everyone would want a Pythona.

Yep, the original ARAH Jinx from 1987 had a red outfit. This yellow one is a factory custom (aka bootleg) from Lady Jaye Toys.

I like that and kind of want to do the same thing. Though I am holding out that either LJT or Super7 do a proper Retaliation version.

Megalon? wikizilla.org/wiki/Megalon
Off the top of my head, Kiryu (MechaGodzilla 3) and Mogranda (if you count them) also have some drill parts. There might be others! I love Godzilla but am far from an expert.

My 1994 Flint wears the poncho to this very day. Got these on clearance at a grocery store. (Ep I stuff was EVERYWHERE!) The capes were worth twice the price.

Yeah I miss those little diorama pieces too! I kept a few of those even after I sold my ML collection.
