Ethnostates are de jure incompatible with liberal democracy.

Its the same story in New York City, in Los Angeles, in DC. Black people being pushed out because of affordability, police targeting, etc. This is an unwritten policy goal of elites and its worked. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/23/n...

Iran has over 2x the population of Iraq, mountainous territory and has a sophisticated military. The US just failed to dislodge the Houthis in Yemen. US strikes against Iran would precipitate disaster for the Americans. Should have stayed with the Obama deal. Destroying their program now is a dream

the destruction of chattel slavery is one of the great accomplishments in our nation's history and the reason conservatives hate celebrating it is because doing so legitimizes the black counter-narrative of the united states

The fact that so many people think celebrating the end of slavery in the US is “DEI” is actually clarifying of what they mean when they use DEI. amp.cnn.com/cnn/2025/06/...

What a clown

Bombing campaigns and targeted assassinations don’t win wars. Not even close. The historical record shows this. Wars are won by having troops on the ground who can overwhelm an opponent.

Wars always begin triumphantly. Its how they end that matters.

The troops are applauding.

My contention is that they can be swayed in historically booming economic times. There’s no coincidence the civil rights movement came after WW2 when most world economies were destroyed and US global GDP % was highest ever. But when US share of GDP shrinks and world more competitive? Much harder

100% right…I think in general a lot of the left discounts the degree to which social hierarchy/dominance is a stronger motivator than economic well-being. Before the civil war, Alabama and Mississippi were some of the wealthiest states in the country. After the war, they preferred power to wealth

Democrats would be fools to step in and try to save Musk now. Let him destroy himself. If his government contracts still exist in 2028, tearing them up should be the first order of business.

The Taco 🌮 doesn't fall far from the shell 😕

"No, this Palantir database isn't like the others. It will combine: Tax filings, Student debt, Social Security, Bank accounts, Medical claims, Immigration status. No previous database system has ever centralized this much personal info across various federal agencies."

Former Republican Rep. Justin Amash: "The surveillance state...the police state...the deep state......are alive & well under Trump. He signed bills to extend & expand mass surveillance. Now he's building profiles' on millions of law-abiding Americans. It's an extraordinary threat to liberty."

When elites talk about our society’s “freedom” or “liberty” this is part of what they mean. The freedom for merchants to addict the masses to products which can bankrupt or even kill them. For their own personal profit. Freedom to abuse the public and to get rich off of it.

Something like 30% of the population will endorse a criminal government run by buffoons because they care about social hierarchy and their group staying on top more than anything.

Doge was solely about punishing Trump’s partisan and ideological opponents through threats and firings. It was never about cutting spending

"The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion (to which few members of other civilizations were converted) but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do."

All empires decline and fall. The US is already in relative decline. Its share (and western share overall) of global GDP has been declining for decades. The US can still be a stable and even successful country in the future if it has massive internal change. But it won’t be as powerful in the future

The culture war was always central in US politics. The civil rights movement was “culture war” and that was decades before baby boomers took political power. The key difference is the US/west is a shrinking % of global GDP, which makes it harder for ordinary people to make it.

The anti-Tesla movement is one of the most successful cases of social coordination in American history. In the span of six months the Tesla brand has been made radioactive. This isn’t a subjective view. You can see it in the data.

Guy in Fort Myers Fl blocked me in. I couldn't get out. When I did I scratched the shit out of his Tesla. He called police. Saw what happened. Laughed and walked away. Sorry. I always HATED Teslas.

Last month, Tesla sold just 512 cars in the UK and 885 cars in Germany. Go anti-woke, go broke.

Interests over ideology. The fundamental political philosophy of the west is Machiavellianism.

The white afrikaners that Trump brings to the US are gonna find out real fast that there’s Black people here too. And we’re not doing apartheid either.

"In some instances, the State Department has relied on informants, blacklists, and technology as simple as a screenshot. But the United States is in the process of activating a suite of algorithmic surveillance tools Israeli authorities have also used to monitor and criminalize online speech."

*whispers ever so faintly* The Lakers would've had a better chance in this series with Anthony Davis.

Remember the months long freak out about down NBA ratings? Nobody is saying anything now.

The US military is losing to Yemen, and has been losing for months.

The Trump loyalist DOJ is instructing regime forces and ICE foot soldiers to break into people’s homes without a search warrant. www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

A Trump vs Obama 2028 matchup would probably be the end of this version of America. Good chance red states just secede when Trump loses.

Jaylen: "Faith, Consistency, Hard Work Pays Off. This is something I've live by since the beginning. My first interview with Boston, I said I was gonna go to war for the city and I don't think nothing has changed"

What exactly is "The Art of The Deal ? " deal among yourself

The founding fathers would have on red maga hats if they were alive today. People today don’t understand how much people fought and died to get to a flawed democratic state. For most of US history, nonwhites lived in an authoritarian regime

What separates Trump and maga from the old fascists is that the current populist movement hates competence and intellectualism of any kind. The old right elevated bureaucracy, science, and competence, which is what made them so dangerous. Maga is a movement run by incompetent buffoons.

What people don’t acknowledge is that America has been a democracy for a very short period of time. Before the 1970s the US regime would be classified as competitive authoritarianism. There’s a large segment of society that hates democracy, hates equal rights, and wants to return to authoritarianism

Love this

And speaking as an old person, I'm grateful for Medicare. I pay a monthly premium that chokes me.

Because rural is code for white, and they are considered “real,” “authentic,” Americans. As opposed to minority groups coded as “urban” who are implicitly considered “illegitimate.” Which is why in US politics you can criticize cities but cannot criticize rural areas.
