Computer science is just a heaping pile of lies.

Chicken quesadilla which could really have used salsa but maybe the avocados in the fridge would also have been good in it, the viii

Or how much of that code is copying boilerplate around. Copilot is great at doing it quickly and mostly correctly.

So instead it will be extremely frustrating!

No, he cares about the deficit. He just thinks they didn't cut Medicaid deep enough. And maybe wasted some tax cuts on people who work for a living.

And what is the chance the "new AI device" is phone-like? The two AI hardware flops were basically de-functioned phones.

"People may not need an iPhone in 10 years because it could be replaced by a new device built for artificial intelligence. As a result, Apple would invest a lot of money that it wouldn’t be able to recoup, Mr. Lam said."

So in 2070 we can expect someone to make a 5090 in their basement? A complete retro build from scratch!

I am making a tool to detect fake data. generate some fake data to test it. Not hard to get around... Or it will be scared of its shadow.

C'mon, live on the edge. Once the build finishes on your machine, merge it. Not like the pipeline will ever just randomly fail.

"This gives Iowa an A-grade Anti-SLAPP law to protect the free speech and related rights of Iowa citizens." Who rated it A grade? Given that state, I don't trust it but stuck clocks and all.

Maybe they just need a bunch of social media managers and Tim waltz in a room for an hour. With or without shots and gummies.

I'm not saying they should focus group the term, but I'd want a term less the budget stabbed you and more the budget is watching you bleed out while finishing its game of Candy Crush.

But death panels also came with the narrative of "a government panel will decide if your grandma lives or dies". Not sure such a narrative exists easily with "murder budget" if there is I'm open to hearing it.

When the downside is some awkwardness while trying to pass someone in the grocery store? So much of the advice was "we think it will work because it works for other diseases and the negative effects are minimal".

They have at least acknowledged they are pinching themselves so that's progress! I still haven't been to a Target since January even after moving and having to buy a bunch o'crap.

"And unless you happen to own a business that stands to benefit from lower worker negotiating power you should stop worrying and and love the population collapse" The last one gave us the renaissance

At what point is the output of an AI the speech of the AI's maker? I don't see the changes which caused Grok to go off the rails being anything other than deliberately done.

Expert includes a summary in email, Fauci reads summary but not the paper because he trusts the author. The paper is useful for reference later but that day the details didn't affect his decisions.

Oof, two months of work to basically find the electronic equivalent of a spelling error. At least it was a code change to fix it. Makes me really glad I stayed in the cozy world of just software.

Use Airbnb to find a barber, then work directly with the barber afterwards. They get one bite of the apple so make that 15% count. I've never traveled back to a place such that I could cut Airbnb out of the transactions.

I love the commercials where it is "expand these 3 bullet points into an email" followed by "summarize this email." You know you can send bullet points through email? All you've done is start using a lossy tension (wtf do you call the opposite of a compression algorithm) algorithm to send your email

Could be aliasing between pulse width modulated lights and the camera shutter. Since I didn't see colored light that is my guess.

Make it a fixed price contract with penalties for delays and I'm good. Give Musk the same albatross which is saddling Boeing.

Caveat, assuming all books in the library are available for sale. The stuff at the SSA and IRS is sketchy as fuck.

It might be getting someone into a position when the next round of dmca exceptions get created they can add an exception.

The problem isn't access, it's legal use. They /can/ train using anything they want. If they train using copyrighted work (and AI is not deemed fair use) then they can be sued for copying (see nyr vs openai).

Are there any working class folks at those "pro-natalist" events? I doubt it because how can two people who barely scrape by on two incomes handle giving up one income to someone staying home or most of an income to childcare?

A NPU is a GPU with all the graphics stuff removed leaving the bare minimum for ai workloads (plus some enhancements)

I just can't wait for a show to get canceled mid episode! Not even after a cliffhanger, just mid-word it cuts.

Is it though? What happens to the stock price when the hot air he blows stops inflating Tesla's stock price? Right now they are stuck between a rock and a pile of shit.

The only advantage to Marc is that he would lead a bunch of lemming investors to follow. If I had to pick one to work at, I'd go AI.

Agree - if Temu raises the price due to a tariff that just means a higher value to tariff. Plus keeping the tariff separate means they don't have to update all prices when the tariffs change.

And losing it to a majority winner. Not like there was a 3rd party spoiler taking ten percent. That is just plain brutal.

AI would put a tomato in a fruit salad except for everyone saying not to.
