Streisand effect. To this day he is one of many Nobel Laureates. Had he refused he would be in a very very small club.

Well the collapse model is only a small aspect of the theory. So it is more like explaining the perihelion shift of Mercury for GR. I think tests are more likely with respect to the mechanism for baryogenesis derived from the theory (which doesn't need extra particles).

We are currently working on a paper showing that our collapse model derived from causal fermion systems satisfies energy conservation. So that proofs it against spontaneous heating experiments. With respect to the spontaneous radiation it is less cmear, but collapse only occurs asymptotically.

Apparently Hitler liked Wilhelm Tell... until he realized that this too was about resistance against a tyrant and prohibited the play. 😅

You have to play the hand you are given, not the hand you want.

Is it fun to do that grind? No, of course not. It is much more fun to spend time speculating on new ideas on things that could possible be, rather than grinding to double check that every minus sign is correct. If you refuse to do that work then you are rightfully ignored by the scientific community

And yes, life is unfair, that people listen more to some people than others. But that is part of why "Nobelitis" is a thing. If these ppl wouldn't have a Nobel Prize their speculations would simply not be getting any attention and that's the end of it. For the better.

You can recognize fraudsters by the fact, that they try to offload this duty on others. It is the "main stream" that wrongs them by not taking their ideas seriously, when all they have is a wonky sketch of an idea. If you don't convince people with one paper you keep collecting evidence until you do

If you think about it like that, governments are in fact super efficient when you think about what the equivalent would cost when commercially organized.

Witv that in mind the "European" cut for a standart university education to be after the Masters makes a whole lot of sense.

In this case however it is important to note that the value was never based on real assets but rather on expectations. So it is also a uniquely vulnerable stock to its CEO going batshit.

In the bike trail there used to be a ~100m gap where you had to bike/run along a narrow country road with substantial traffic. I was so happy to see that they fixed this gap with proper bike lanes and an separate foot path.
