Wow, fantastic! Well done! Sounds like a fun day.

Gawd yes. Stay away from I-71 near the fairgrounds. We hit the traffic on Thursday driving south after being attacked the lake. Looked like a couple hundred thousand metalheads.

NW Ohio is known for its warblers in May, but there are many other great sights, too. #worstbirdpic 🪶

One of our most beautiful birds! Trust me. 🪶

Fun! I've read about that event. Crazy scary. Especially being just upwind of Cleveland and so much population.

BUT at least I know how to handle disappointment. #birdinginsurance

Ahh, birding in Ohio. Come for the warblers, stay for the lovely scenery! At least the nuclear power plant tells you how windy it is! (But it’s also cold!) 🪶

Cool! I think the conditions will get better and better after today. We have to hear home today. Short but fun trip.

Awesome! We'll be heading home today, probably sooner rather than later. Looks like a so-so day. But it'll get better later, I bet.

But real quick, look at these cute Barn Swallows on the sightings board!

Lol, love this one. Perfect vireo pic!

Yeah we're not blessed with much here in Ohio but we are with warblers!

Ha, probably out there somewhere

That'd be amazing. Of course I'd have to leave the house after dark, soooo it'd be a challenge for me.

Oh wow. Down here they're in that phase where all the greens are bright and awesome. Really beautiful and fun.

Super fun state forest roads to cruise for warblers.

Okay, staying overnight, and this just happened. Lying in bed and, through the glass doors, heard THIS! Very rare for me!

Jealous! Luckily we can see them often in our park, but the nest they had for a while has gone uninhabited lately.

So frustrating!

By the way, no one at eBird would've contested my report of two Ospreys. I'm just defensive. No one needed this photo. In fact, that would be the title of my coffee-table photography book: "No One Needed This Photo"

It was usually cloudy and windy and the warblers were not photo-ready, so I don't even have a single blurry pic of them. BUT, we did in fact see TWO Ospreys and I really felt I should document seeing both of them at once. This was the result. Mindyou, this was my BEST photo. #worstbirdpic

Report: well I'm pretty sure 3.6 million of those were Yellow-rumped Warblers. But still a fun morning. Lots of Palm Warblers, too. The numbers were indeed great, but the diversity was still a bit ...April.
